I swear I saw little stars flying around by the force that I was dropped.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry I was just really worried about you and I heard what happened at the cafe and I know I tried calling you but you didn't answer and-"

"Jenz" I laugh stopping her from rambling. She gives me a sheepish look and when I gained awareness that I was still on the floor I pushed myself up. "I'm perfectly fine you can stop worrying. By the way did you by any chance make reports to the police for each threat I told you not to?" I questioned making my way towards the first guest bedroom with Augustus following behind.

"No why?"

"Come on Jenz I won't get mad if you did. I mean I kind of see why it's so necessary now."

"I swear I didn't E" She says directly looking into my eyes. When she was lying she would never be  able to which is how I could always tell.

If she didn't make the reports then who did? I don't know anyone that cared for me as much as her. I haven't had that in a while. A cold shiver went up my spine as if warning me that something wasn't right yet I ignored it because it may have just been the fact that it was cold in my apartment and I was being paranoid.

"Well okay then. Want to help me decorate? There was supposed to be a security detail here waiting for me but I don't see anyone so I guess we still have a little time" I say changing the topic.

"Oh no, they're here and they're hot. But I sent them to the kitchen since it got a little weird with them just standing there. Plus they wouldn't answer any of my questions. Even when I walked in and almost died at the sight of them" she exaggerates.

I chuckle and finish setting up that bedroom.

"So.. who's the hottie that's been following you?" She asks once we were in the next bedroom and Augustus had gone to meet the rest of the security detail.

"Just some personal bodyguard. I have to take him everywhere, it's crazy."

"Oh hunny I would never want to be anywhere without him. I mean have you seen his muscles and the way he has that big" she looks down at her nonexistent manhood "energy?"

I stare at her in shock. "Of course I haven't what the heck!"

"I'm just saying. I could totally see this love story waiting to be turned into a cheesy book. Plus he's way hotter than that Mr. Nerd you got." She says as she helps me finish setting up the bed.

She was always downplaying Jeremey whenever she got the chance and I was getting sick of it. I mean shouldn't a best friend be supportive of who you date instead of always judging them?

"You know Jen I'm really getting tired of you degrading him like that" I tell her.

"Sorry E I'm just saying. I mean what do you even see in someone like him?"

"There's a lot I see," I try to think of a few good things but in the heat of the moment I can't, "It doesn't matter. I just love him ok? If you're just going to keep bashing him then leave."

I know that was a little rude and I didn't mean to be but I guess the stresses of the events are starting to catch up to me.

She looked hurt and without saying a word quickly turned around and stormed out of the apartment. She slammed the door shut behind her causing me to jump at the sudden noise.

I sighed loudly and sat down on the fluffy carpet. I should really apologize to her. I mean maybe she's right. What did I actually like about him? Still that wasn't permission for her to talk bad about him like that.
