"Taylor, baby I'm so sorry, I got caught up and I didn't realize how late-"

He begins talking before he even fully reaches me and Lucy.

After all of tonight's events, I feel exhausted so I just stand leaning against the wall as I watch him get closer and listen to his pathetic excuses.

"Honestly, Save it."

I deadpan to him as he stands in front of me looking guilty as hell.

"Are you seriously mad at me right now?"

He asks with a demeaning tone.

I just stare back at him blankly.

Honestly, I have no idea what to even say to him right now.

"Don't worry about it let's just go home."

I say pushing off the wall and Lucy moves closer to me to help me walk.

"Wait...Taylor what the hell happened why can't you walk by yourself?!"

He gets closer to me and raises his voice as he speaks.

I can tell he's irritated now. He didn't even realize I was injured until now, too busy berating me with excuses the moment he turned up at this place.

"Some guy accidentally-."

"Who the fuck did this to you, is he still here?!"

He cuts me off before I can even explain further and now his voice is even louder.

He didn't even wait for me to say anything before his eyes frantically start scanning the room, I'm not sure who he's expecting to find because how would he even know who did this.

"Lucy did you see this happen?! Point the motherfucker out right now."

He begins to yell at her, with his jaw set tight as he waits for her response.

The fact that he's screaming at my friend is not sitting well with me at all. I can't believe him right now.

"Don't fucking yell at her! Dom, you're acting like a psychopath right now." I say as I try to keep my voice down and not aggravate him even more.

I look off into the distance and I spot a familiar face who I quickly recognize is that Harry guy from earlier.

His facial features are hard with his eyebrows furrowed.

Has he been watching me this whole time?

There's another guy next to him with a hand on his shoulder and it looks as though that same man the only thing stopping him from walking over to me.

He catches my glance and mouths something to me but I can't tell what it was.

"Taylor don't fucking start with me I'm just trying to protect you." Dom speaks sternly and catches my attention again.

"Well then please just stop being so stubborn and actually listen to me for once!" Now I'm the one slightly raising my voice, he's just so damn hard to talk to when he's like this.

I probably shouldn't have yelled, because now he looks like he's about to pop a blood vessel.

"I'm the one being stubborn?-" He goes to continue to speak but stops himself. His eyes darting back and forth over my face.

He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath

"Find your own way home"

He says in a low tone and turns around to walk away.

Did he just walk away?

I'm truly in utter shock that he's left us both stranded here, after the fact that he found out I'm physically injured.

I know how completely shitty of him this is. But I just can't find the energy, I feel my eyes well up with tears either due to frustration or exhaustion,

take your pick.

I slump my body back against the wall, can this night get any worse? Maybe asking myself that question is just an invitation for disaster.

"T, I'm so sorry that just happened why is he being like that." Lucy quietly speaks beside me. She reaches out to rub the side of my arm out of pity.

Pity for her friend who twisted her ankle and got into a fight with her boyfriend all in the same night.

"I just really want to go home."

Is all I manage to say.

She nods and looks back to her phone. "There's no service here, I'm going to go outside for a second. Stay here I'll be right back." She says walking away toward the exit in hopes of getting better service.

I want to be able to say Dom's behavior shocks me, but the reality is: it doesn't.

I've observed him get angry like this before with something that didn't involve me, part of me knew his actions even back then were red flags. But when everything else about your relationship is so perfect it's so easy to sweep the bad stuff under the rug.

"What a prick, that's your boyfriend?"

Harry is suddenly directly in-front of me and I was too consumed by my thoughts to even notice that he had walked over.

"Please don't."

I groan and wipe away the moisture under my arms before crossing my arms.

"It looked like he was pissed, what happened?" He asks as his features soften to look at me.

"Harry, why do you even care?

I've been enough of a burden to you tonight."

I'm starting to feel guilty for the fact that he walked over here to ask.

I don't even know why he's speaking to me again.

Harry continues to look down at me with a face full of confusion.

I just stare back up at him and sigh, I simply don't have the energy to even speak at this point.

"Do you want me to call you a cab? I would offer to drive you but I'm pretty fucked up."

"No, thanks though."

I reply without looking at him this time.

Lucy walks back over to us both and she looks confused as she eyes Harry's figure standing next to me.

"Our ride is here, let's go"

Lucy states glancing at me momentarily then returning her gaze to Harry to continue to look at him with an eyebrow raised in confusion.

After stretching my ankle a bit I can sort of walk on it with a limp. Harry extends his arm next to me to invite me to lean on him.

His way of offering to help me to the car.

"Goodbye Harry."

I say as I intentionally choose not to grab onto him.

But Lucy still walks closer to me to help me and I lean on her as we walk out of the club.
