Chapter 4

"I've been thinking about what you said." Me and Ash are laying on my bed. My head is in his lap and his fingers are in my hair.

"And?"

"I'm really second guessing this wedding."

"If you feel like that's the right thing to do then do it if not I would call it off sooner than later."

"Your right I just don't know how."

"Tell James the truth if he's really your best friend he'll understand."

"I'm gonna do it. I'll call him right now." I reach over and grab my phone from the nightstand.

"Maria? Why are you calling me."

"J J come back here." A girls voice says in the background.

"Your cheating on me!!"

"Maria I-I I'm sorry."

"No I'm sorry it actually doesn't matter I was calling because I want to cancel the wedding. I can't marry someone I'm not in love with."

"I understand Maria do you want to tell your parents or do you want to tell them together."

"No I can tell them. I hope that girl makes you happy you deserve it."

"Thank you Maria I hope you find someone who makes you happy."

"I think I might already have. Don't worry about me I'll have all my stuff out by tomorrow."

"Ok bye I love you. "

"I love you too." I hang up and set my phone back on the nightstand.

"See now you can both be happy." I smile and climb into his lap.

"Yeah I can." We go into one of our makeout sessions that ends with both of our shirts off and this time I have a hickey on my neck.

"Now all the boys will know to stay away." I laugh and lay my head on his chest. "I know you just got out of a big relationship but will you be my girlfriend?"

"I would love to." He smiles and gives me a long kiss. "Come with me to find an apartment?" He nods and we put our shirts back on.

"I hope you don't mind but I'm gonna stop by my parents before we grab my stuff."

"Now that's cool I don't mind at all." I pull into my parents driveway and get out.

"Do you mind if I come?" Ash gets out as well.

"Not at all but my parents won't like you."

"Parents love me." We walk inside and I go to their study.

"Mum. Dad." I walk in and they're at their desks.

"Maria how nice of you to stop by. To what do we owe the pleasure." I step in the room and Ashton follows.

"Oh well hi."

"Hello I'm Ashton. Ashton Irwin."

"Well it's nice to meet you. How do you know our daughter?"

"Actually that's why I'm here. I talked to James already and we both decided we want to call off the wedding. Apparently he was cheating on me and we'll I was too." I look at Ashton.

"This is crazy. You two were in love. Why would you call off the wedding."

"We weren't in love we cared for each other but we didn't love each other. I wouldn't be able to stand living with him for the rest of my life." My voice slowly rises into a yell. "If you cared about me you would understand."

"You are not calling off the wedding you probably just have cold feet."

"No mum it's already off I moved out of our house."

"Why would you do that. Now call James up right this minute and tell him to take you back and you were just nervous."

"No mum I am not marrying James and that's it." I stand up and walk to the door.

"If you walk out that door I will disown you. You know what I blame him he looks like he's trouble he probably has you on some kind of drugs." She points a finger at Ashton.

"Actually ma'am I don't do drugs I don't drink alcohol either I just have tattoos and piercings. I live in a nice apartment building and have a job down at the local grocery store while I finish schooling. Now if you'll excuse us we need to finish moving her out." We walk out the door ignoring my mothers screams.

Ashton pushes me against my car and roughly kisses me. "See it wasn't that hard."

"Now I have to find a job."

"It's not that hard." He says as we get in my car. I let him drive.

"Was all of what you said back there true?"

"For the most part. I dropped out of school when I was 17 the rest is true."

"Ah."

We move all my stuff into my new apartment which I found out is in the same building as Ashton's.

"So that's why you highly recommended this place you live here." He smiles and leads me into his apartment.

"Hey Maria right?" Calum shouts from the couch where he's sitting with a bright red headed boy. I nod.

"You already know Calum but that's Mikey."

"Hey." He briefly looks up from the game he's playing. A tall blonde walks into the room. "That's Luke." He waves and takes a bite of the toast he's holding.

"Mikey Luke this is my girlfriend Maria"

Calum turns towards us. "But I thought you were engaged?"

"He was cheating on me too so we both decide to call it off" he nods and turns back to the screen.

"We'll be in my room." Ashton shouts as he grabs my hand and runs down the hall into a small bedroom. It's slightly messy but what do you expect.

"Now I can do this whenever I want." He pushes me on the bed and climbs on top of me. Not even hesitating before planting his lips firmly on mine. My hands go to his dirty blonde curls and his go to my bum. We flip over and he takes my blouse off I slide his tank top over his head and we keep kissing. He starts undoing his pants and he pulls them off. His fingers start working on mine and soon we are just in our underwear.

His fingers reach for my bra and this time I let him undo it. He looks up at me before fully taking it off. "Are you sure." I nod and well your imagination can figure out the rest.
