In case no one knows, Jo was a textbook nerd. Spoke 4 languages, super into Biology and Science, played chess and have watched every single Star Wars movie ever made. So it was a mystery to Beverly High School as to why Garrett Overboe - debatably one of the hottest boys at BevHigh - was close friends with Jo. Garrett played basketball, he's also tall and has a great figure, funny and popular. Ergo, girls at BevHigh hated Jo, especially when Garrett always hung out with her when he wasn't with his guy friends.

-" Uh oh." Garrett sneaked up on Jo, gestured towards her back. Jo glanced at the mirror on the side of her locker door.

It's him.

-" Do you want me to shield you?"
-" His locker is literally right next to mine dummy." Jo kept her head as low as possible, tried to take her stuff out but took the wrong thing every time.
-" Anyway, why are you avoiding him?" Garrett lowered his head as well, whispered to Jo as if they're in the middle of some shady businesses.
-" I don't wanna talk about it." Jo got flustered as she noticed him walking straight towards them. Out of sheer panic, she tried to run away but the basketball team came up and surrounded Garrett, which trapped Jo inside.

-" Hey Jo, hey Gare."
-" What's up Blue." Garrett smiled, playfully punched Blue on the chest before waving at the both of them and took off with his team. Jo closed her eyes, the ONE time she needed Garrett to be around and annoy her, he just happily left. Boys are dumb as hell.

-" Jo can I talk to you for one second?"
-" Hi.. uh I have to.. uh.. eat!"
-" It's second period."
-" Oh. Right. Uhm.. I really gotta go though.. yeah bye."

Jo stuttered through that not-so-long conversation before turning around and was about to make a run for it before she heard "Your next class is Physics, which is this way doll face. And when you have a minute I'D LIKE TO TALK ABOUT OUR KISS LAST NIGHT!"

Right in the middle of the hallway, with the entire school looking at them. Great.
