The Queen Anne

Deck 10

Suite 64

April 25

1000 hours

After we explained everything to Cyrus, we got breakfast from the buffet on deck 14 and Mike and I brought Trixie and Erica to brainstorm ideas on how to snoop around the target's suite. Rather, Mike and I were panicking.

"How are we supposed to get them to trust us if we barely know anything about them? We don't even know there names!" I exclaimed. I was to nervous to eat; none of my pastries were touched. Even though I was hungry before, now the only thing I felt like eating was my orange juice.

Looking over the case file, Trixie calmly informed us, "They have the surname of Mogilefsky. The parents' names are Gilbert and Anne respectively, while the twin's names are Bianca and Nico."

"Wow, there must be fangirls in the family," Mike said. All of us looked at him strangely except for Trixie, who said "I know, right! I like Anne of Green Gables, but Percy Jackson and the Olympians is better." They continued geeking out about the novels, leaving me a bit surprised that I didn't read the books. If Mike and Trixie both read the books, they must be popular right? I felt a slight twinge of jealousy, but I knew it was only because Mike was getting to know Trixie faster than me. I remembered back to all the times I got emotional on missions; surprisingly, it occurred too many times to count. I knew I needed to push these thoughts out of my mind, but I couldn't. Luckily, Trixie did that for me by pulling me out of my trance with a question.

"Did you read Anne of Green Gables or Percy Jackson and the Olympians?"

"Um, no."

"Did you read any books by Rick Riordan?" Mike asks.

"I read 39 Clues a while ago, I think," I replied.

"Nice," Trixie told me, "I've heard of them, and I'm planning to read them sometime. It would be cool to discuss it sometime- but not now!" she said quickly. She obviously didn't want any spoilers.

After Trixie and Ben resumed their conversation, Erica asked me, "How would people having those names mean that there are 'fangirls in the family'?"

I was sometimes surprised by Erica's lack of emotion or social knowledge, but this was on another level. "Well, those names are the same as the character's names in the books Mike and Trixie are talking about."

"Isn't that just a coincidence that they have the same names then?"

"No. People name their kids after the characters, meaning they are huge fans of a particular book."

"That's a bit odd."

I would have probably agreed with Erica, but I realized we needed to actually start brainstorming. "Fangirls, Erica, lets actually start brainstorming ideas already!"

"Alright," Mike replied, not to keen about being called a fangirl.

After an hour, all of the pastries were eaten by Trixie (Mike and I were too nervous to be hungry, while Erica avoided carbs like the plague), and there was only one successful idea to snooping around; improvise.

500 words. Honestly, why do I keep giving the characters scones and pastries?
