Chapter 9: Rivalry?

Blizzard cheerfully walked along with Elly who couldn't stop talking about last year's Thanksgiving and the food that they ate. He told her about the Thanksgiving he and his family had, she was happy to talk about it with him. Since direwolf-humans could eat as much as an adult lion, they had plenty of food topics to think and talk about. Blizzard couldn't help but smile at her enthusiasm as she rambled on about Torga's turkey dinner.

As they walked along through the park, Henry watched from a distance. He had a nice assortment of flowers and a box of direwolf chocolate. Blizzard told her to wait on a bench as he went to get ice cream for her. Henry walked over to Dark, he handed her the flowers and the chocolate. Her tail wagged happily, she excepted the gifts with a smile.

Blizzard stopped, he stood watching Elly talking to Henry. Jealousy grew as he walked over, "Hey Elly, I have your sprinkle covered vanilla waffle cone." He gave her her ice cream to which made her tail wag even more. Dark thanked them happily, eating her ice cream with a smile on her face. The boys looked at one another with an unhappy look on their faces.

They both walked through the park with her as not one of them wanted her to be alone with the other. Both the boys tried time and time again, but could never get the other to leave her be with one of the boys. Elly was a bit oblivious to their hints of wanting to be alone with her, as they both tried one after another.

After a trip through the park, the trio went along through the mall. The boys both tried to find ways to make the other walk away from her, but it seemed but of them were evenly matched in intelligence. Though, they both couldn't get the girl they loved-

The Gang knew they both loved Dark but the Gang also knew that Elly wasn't exactly able to know when a guy was in love with her. But the Gang knew Torga wouldn't have others make Dark's decisions about who she would go out with, so they didn't interfer. Of course unless they thought she was in danger.

Torga watched as they both helped Elly with completing a large, 3,000 piece puzzle so she could frame it on her wall. Torga turned to the Discord Gang, "Have you been making sure she's safe?" They nodded, Torga turned back to the trio as Henry was able to temporarily get Dark attention, "And you all have been letting her decide for herself?"

They nodded again, she sighed, "My little one isn't able to understand that they are both trying to get her to love them. I want you to make a scenario for them three, to test them on who she loves. She may not even realize who she loves. I don't want this rivalry for my daughter to continue, let her make the decision of who she loves so she can be happy. Understand?" They looked at one another, agreeing with their eyes, then nodded at Torga.

The two rivals helped the now sleepy Elly to get a stopping point on the puzzle. She yawned a soft, sweet puppy yawn as the boys placed the pieces back into the box that haven't been used. Dark yawned again as she laid her head down on the table, her tail wagged as Blizzard picked her up bridal style. He growled at Henry in a protective way then carried the small direwolf-girl up the stairs to her room. Henry followed close behind, opening the door to make sure she would get to her bed safely.

She was gently placed down into the bed and Blizzard tucked her in. Henry made sure the windows were secure as Blizzard walked over to him. "Space boy, wasn't your mission complete by now?" Blizzard said in a quiet tone to not wake Elly, "If your done with your real job, why are you still here?"

Henry turned around and looked at him, "Because, it's my job to make sure she's safe." Blizzard chuckled some, "Her friends and I can take care of her. I think your just trying to avoid someone you actually love on your home planet because your too scared to tell them you love them." Henry growled a deep angry hiss at him, "You don't know my life. So stay out of it. I love Dark, she makes me smile everytime I see her." Blizzard nodded, "Elly doesn't know about your true form, she and her friends don't know why your really here."

Henry looked at him with a bit of anger in his eyes, "You don't have a clue about me." Blizzard shook his head, "Neither does anyone else on this planet. When you reveal to her your monster full form. You won't make her want to be near you. She's safe, you said it yourself. The outer space threat is no more. So go home, I know you have a lover there."

Henry shoved past him and they both made their way down the stairs. Leaving Dark to sleep soundly in her bed.
