Chapter 12: Home Again

The group watched over her as the days went by, Elly was recovering well and the doctors were all happy to say she would be sent home in a week. Now that she was awake, she was told what happened while she was sleeping. She was a bit shocked but Henry promised her he was going to keep her safe.

It made her smile, she thanked him and everyone for keeping her safe from the scary monster that attacked. They were glad to finally see her sweet smile of joy. It warmed them and kept the room in a bright hope. Henry swatted a fly away from her ear, she giggled and thanked him for helping with the fly.

~One week later~

Henry pushed open the front door, carrying a large pillow in his arms and setting it down on the couch. She was set beside it and her legs covered in a blanket. Henry sat down beside her and gave her the remote to the TV. She thanked him and turned to the cartoon show called "Tom & Jerry" and snuggled in the couch with a smile on her face.

They helped her as they had done the last time, making sure her room was secure and helping her with food and drinks that she wanted. Henry helped her with getting up and sitting back down, making her feel safe. Making her wonder something......

Did he see her as a friend? Or was there something she didn't notice before? She wondered those questions as the boys pushed each other out of the way to get to the pancakes before the other could.

Henry placed a folding table in front of her, then pet her head gently, "I'll get your breakfast ok Fluffy?" Her tail wagged some as she smiled at him, "Okie, thank you!" He could only smile, "Your welcome."

He went to the other room, and she thought about him and all he had done for her. He protected her, putting his life to near death, all for her life. She looked from her thoughts and thanked him again as he put her plate and cup of milk in front of her. He sat down next to her with his and they all started eating.

After she ate, she leaned back against the couch, sighing as she was full of food. He looked at her and smiled, then turned back and kept eating his breakfast. He felt her head lay against him, his face reddened as he felt her move a bit closer.

He wasn't expecting her to show him such affection as she had been so clueless for such a long time about his hints. He glanced at her and looked back at the TV, trying to not swallow his food into his lungs from his bit of love shock.

Her tail wagged as he pet her head a little and kept eating his pancakes. James and Jason and well, the whole Gang basically wanted to threaten him if he tried anything, but knew Torga would stop them. So all they could do was watch to two sitting side by side, and do nothing.

And Henry could only let her stay snuggled against his side as she rested off the breakfast pile she was given by her friend.
