As the crowd grew ever larger at this statement, Kinoshita couldn't help but feel the nerves bubble up inside him. He had plotted and prepared for his announcement for months, brewing potions to make sure everything was perfect.

Clearing his mind, the dusty haired male cleared his mind, taking a deep breath, inhaling the fresh scent of the sweet spring air.

"I have a challenge for all of those wanting to win my heart"

Murmurs spread around the crowd like a swarm of bees. A challenge? And to win his heart? It must be too good to be true.

"Meet My pet cat. I haven't given it a name yet and I only have a photo of him"

Confused looks were being passed around and for good reason. Was this all just an act?

"The test is simple, my cat has the keys to my house tied to his collar, if you can open my front door to my house using the key, you win my heart, any questions?"
There was silence before a deep voice called out from the crowd.

"What about gend-"
"Any gender can participate, otherwise it wouldn't be fair" his angelic giggle rang out through the town as everyone stopped to take in the heavenly voice.

As more voices started calling out from the crowd, the overwhelming feeling came across Kinoshita like a blanket.

"One at a time, please," he said, keeping up his soft smile.

As his black orbs scanned across the crowd, all the dusty haired male could do was sigh and look out across the group of people. Finally giving up, Kinoshita sighed as he walked off the stage and made his way through the crowd, trying his hardest to ignore the bombardment of questions aimed at him.

As the feeling of uncertainty overwhelmed him, it took all of his willpower to walk out of the crowd that was now becoming a mosh pit.

"Kinoshita-"
"Hisa-"
"Kin-"

All of the calls were blocked out as the black orbs found him a clear path out of the crowd. Soft breaths filled his head in an attempt to calm himself and crawl out of the enclosed space.

After fighting his way through the crowd and gaining a breath of fresh air, Kinoshita immediately made his way back from where he came from. As the door clicked behind him signalling that it was now locked, the dusty haired male walked over to his counter where a key tied to a ribbon and a mystical blue liquid was sitting.

"Good luck"

The first sighting of the cat had been a surprise. Less than a week later, the feline had appeared on the same stage as the one Kinoshita had presented his speech on.

The townsfolk stared in awe at the dusty blonde Persian with deadly black eyes that seemed to pierce through their soul. What was more noticeable was the bright red ribbon, tightly tied around its neck. On the ribbon seemed to be something gleaming, shining back into the townsfolk.

The key... the key that would grant them the heart of Kinoshita...

Without a second thought, men and women streaked off in the direction of the cat, willing to throw away their entire lives if it meant getting that key...
