Narita let a sigh of release pass as he looked up at his new home. The two-storied oak house stood tall and grand as it towered above the male. This was it. This was a new beginning. A way to get away from the hate and disrespect from his old home.
As he fetched a small key from his pocket examining the old and weathered metal. Narita quickly strode away from the cat that was containing all of his valuable furniture and walked over to the locked door.
The lock made a satisfying click as the bald male turned the key. Inside the house, it was dusty showing signs of abandonment for a while. Taking in another deep breath, he inhaled the musty yet warming smell. It smelled...like a new beginning.
After strolling around the house and exploring every nook and cranny, Narita quickly made his way out to the cart that was being held in place by a pair of restless horses. Feeling out of place as two fit men heaved a couch out of the rackety cart, Narita quickly went over too see if they needed any help unloading anything.
Once he had received instructions to unpack the small boxes and place them in the side alley next to the house, the bald male quickly set off, happy to be some sort of help. As he started to run back and forth between the house, cart and alley, the weariness started to catch up on him. He wasn't used to the constant movement so it was a new feeling.
As he took out one of the last few boxes, a small ball of fluff sitting on top of the boxes caught his eye. Turning around, Narita was met with the sight of a dusty blonde Persian cat that had a bright red ribbon around its neck. Its fur looks knotted and dirty yet its piercing black eyes shone brightly as the stars.
"Huh, aren't you cute?" he cooed to the feline.
As he looked up to where the creature was sitting up on the huge stack of boxes, Narita couldn't help but notice how malnourished it looked. As if a lightbulb appeared over his head, an idea popped into his brain as he scurried off back inside.
A few minutes later, Narita re-appeared with a small bowl of water and a few slices of ham on a plate. The car watched in curiosity as the bald male placed the objects down, just in front of the ever-growing pile of boxes.
"Here's some food and water if you need it," Narita explained, not noticing the wide eyes the cat was giving him.
With a soft smile forming on his face, the male walked back inside his two stories oak house, satisfied with himself.
