Jaune was already in his tux and was waiting for the rest of team RWBYS to show so he can enjoy the night with them. Jaune had told them about Pyrrha's want to dance with him but he along with Blake and Yang said "yea, not going to happen". Jaune and his team who wearing their canon dresses had soon arrived to the dance and began to enjoy themselves. Ruby was wearing her canon dress except that instead of heels, she was wearing some low heeled shoes that she got from the Naruto universe.

Ruby had begun to to sneak her way to the punch bowl when Weiss stopped her. Weiss had said that she should enjoy the dance and she herself had no problem dancing with her. Weiss and Ruby had then followed Weiss to the dance floor where they begun to dance together.

Pyrrha had then led the rest of team JNPR to Jaune, Yang, and Blake and they had began to talk with them as Pyrrha tried to find a chance to dance with Jaune for her almost non-existent chance recovering their friendship. Jaune had then PMed Yang, Blake, and Xavier who is in charge of the music for the next 2 hours.
J: honestly, I will just dance with her just to get her to shut up but Blake, I have a special I have a special dance I want to do. Sorry Yang but Blake's flexibility makes her perfect for the dance.
Y: It's cool, but I get a special dance with you as well.
B: understood and I hope the dance is what I think it is.

Jaune had then told Yang and Blake to dance together so Pyrrha can ask if Jaune wanted to dance with her. Jaune had accepted a dance and soon he and Pyrrha had begun to dance to the music but Jaune put no passion or joy. Pyrrha had been too happy that she was dancing with Jaune to notice, until the song ended. Jaune and Pyrrha had separated before he and Blake came to the middle of the dance floor. Xavier had grabbed the microphone and asked that everyone give them a large berth of space for the special song that Jaune had requested to dance with Blake.
