"Alright that's it for today, exam will be next Thursday so study hard and I will see you again on Friday." The teacher smiled before taking the presentation she presented and prepared for the class of the board.
"Finally." Baek mumbled yawing and rubbing his eye. he grabs all his items sprawled out on his desk and shoves them into his bag hurriedly. it's lunch, he's starving and is just really ready to dig in. he pushes past the crowded halls, greeting some students he makes eye contact with or when he hears his name being shouted out. in the café the table he usually sits at is empty to his surprise, then again he is super early. he throws his bag down on the table and goes in line for whatever food they were handing out.
he just grabs something simple and knew it would subside his hunger til he's home.
he heads back to his table and see the rest of his friends arriving and settling in their usual seats. "baekhyunnnnn" there's that teasing time again. jongdae takes a seat next to him and gives him these eyes. "you ignored my text the moment i mentioned the date."
"i ignored it because i was busy on the date. and second you're nosey and knew you were gonna come bothering me about the details sooner or later." baekhyun doesn't even give him a single glance, just downing his food like he's been dying to do all day.
"you're one-hundred percent right. just tell meeee, i need to know if i have to punch someone in the face or not."
"that's jongin's job, and we didn't do much, went on a small walk, talked and got to know each other, we ran to go get ice cream by the doc and then we went home." he states, smiling a little at the memory of that night.
"was he nice? did he pick you up? make sure you got home safe? is he clean?"
"sign up for the f.b.i at this point."
"im curious! give me a break! i just need to know he's gonna treat you right! your last relationships had all of us meeting in parks for fights since they treated you like shit. i care i deserve to know."
"yah! okaaaayy! he's clean, he picked me up, walked me home, payed for the ice cream and made me feel good about the date." he rushes out to say with a small sigh. he smiles and turns to the male beside him "and thank you for always looking out for me. im sure this guy is gonna do the right type of things and you won't have to worry much longer."
"better not promise that. you sorta said the last thing about your last guy and that went down hill real quick."
"oh fuck off. i didn't know he would act the way he did."
"it's embarrassing. who gets mad at someone for wearing jeans at someone's house instead of sweatpants?" the two just try to brush past the memories of baekhyun's ex boyfriends and focus on the now.
baek believed chanyeol had only the best intentions for them. he's stomach churns more than it did with the others and he takes that as a good sign. another good sign to him was jongdae actually being okay with chanyeol and even wanting to meet him eventually. jongdae had always had these feelings about his best friends ex's so this was new.
