It had been a long day at school and Kageyama was more than ready to go home.
He honestly didn't like school, but it did have its perks. One, he was able to spend time with his sister who is currently a third year, two, he gets cheap milk from the vending machine, and three, school lunches are free for first years.
So he couldn't really say he actually hated it, more like, disliked it.
The bell rang and everyone got up and started to pack their things. Kageyama quickly got out of his seat, shoved his things into his messy bag and sped out the door towards his sisters' class. They had made arrangements to meet every Wednesday so that Miwa, Kageyama's sister, can drive them home.
Wednesday was a minimum day, meaning all the years' get out at the same time at exactly 2:20 PM.
Kageyama arrived and saw his sister standing in the door frame on her phone. Then, she looked up and smiled at her little brother. "Hey Tobio. Come on, mom texted and said she wanted us home before her." Miwa said, walking towards Kageyama.
"Kay." He responded.
The two walked l together, talking about their classes and encounters with annoying people. Miwa and Tobio weren't that different actually, besides Miwa smiling and laughing a lot more than her short tempered brother.
"Wait- who'd you say the guy that liked you is?" Kageyama asked, looking at his sister with a "I'm gonna beat his ass" look. "Uhhh, I think his name waaaas... Tadaski? No no wait..." Miwa trailed off, trying to think of the name.
"Oh! I think his name was Fuji Itsuki." Miwa said with a gentle smile on her face. Kageyama rolled up his sleeves and pounded his fist against the palm of his hand, seeming angrier than usual. "I'll kill him." Kageyama said. "Pff-" Miwa started bursting out laughing as she saw her little brother try to act intimidating.
"T-Tobio you really are an idiot!" She said through laughs. "Cut it out Miwa! I'm serious! I don't want people dating my older sister because you'll forget about me." Kageyama frowned, crossing his arms. "Hey don't sweat it! I won't forget about you, stupid." Miwa moved her hand and put it on Kageyama's head, messy with his hair.
Kageyama grumbled angrily and they kept walking.
They finally got out of the school gates and started heading into the parking lot before Kageyama saw a small crow on the side of the sidewalk trying to get up. He curiously stepped infront of his sister and walked over to it. "Tobio don't touch it, it can give infections retard." Miwa stated, crossing her arms and watching as her little brother bent down and looked at the bird.
"But it's hurt, we can't just leave it." Kageyama grumbled. Animals never really liked Kageyama for some reason, they just would run away or hiss or bark at him if he got to close, but the bird seemed fairly calm around him.
"Yeah but do you wanna get sick?" Kageyama's sister replied hastily. She didn't get why Kageyama was doing this, but she went along with it anyway. As Kageyama looked at the bird closer, he noticed that the base of it's wings were orange, then they faced back into black.
It was a bit weird for a crow to have orange on it, although it did seem a little cool.
Kageyama scooped up the bird and carried it in his arms, smiling like a maniac. "Tobio your so dumb." Miwa remarked.
"Oh shut up!" Tobio yelled back.

Miwa pulled into her spot of the driveway and parked the car. She grabbed her school bag and got out, waiting for her little brother to get out as well.
Kageyama was a little bit focused on the bird at the moment since it was asleep in his arms. He smiled and got out, grabbing his bag with one hand and shutting the car door. Miwa rolled her eyes and opened the front door, letting herself and Kageyama in.
"Mom! Dad! We're home!" Miwa yelled, taking her shoes off. "Not like they care." Kageyama muttered. Miwa frowned and quickly headed upstairs to her room.
Kageyama used his feet to take his shoes off, following his sister up. He went into his room and shut the door behind him, laying the bird on his bed. He quickly took off his school uniform and threw them into the dirty clothes pile, leaving him in his boxers.
He heard an audible chirp coming from behind him, and when he turned around he saw the small crow. It was looking straight at him, like it was watching him change. Kageyama smiled and put on a hoodie and sweat pants, going over to his bed and laying down.
The bird almost immediately came up to Kageyama and went into the hoodie's pocket, poking it's head out of the other side and chirping again. Kageyama scratched the small bird in the head, smiling and feeling like he was about to cry.
He didn't know why this crow liked him so much, but honestly he didn't care. He liked having the little bird as company. The bird closed its eyes and looked like it was enjoying the head scratches.
Kageyama played with the bird for bout an hour, watching as the bird would follow him on his bed and chirp every time it saw Kageyama. Then Kageyama remembered the whole reason he had the bird, he was supposed to help it's broken wing.
Kageyama touched the birds broken wing and saw as it moved away from him, pecking at his fingers if he got too close. "Sorry, sorry." Kageyama said quietly. He scratched the bird in the head again and sighed. He looked at the clock and noticed the time.
3:30 PM
It was wayyy to early for Kageyama wanting to go to sleep, but honestly he didn't really care. He got up and shut his blinds, closed his door and laid down. The bird came up and snuggled against Kageyama's face and laid there.
Kageyama slowly closed his eyes and drifted off, falling asleep.
