—Australian special forces operative-turned-mercenary, Donovan Briggs, is not a team player. For the past seven years he's worked alone with only a contractor to give him his assignments, and he likes it that way, prefers it over team bonding exercises and other bullshit ideals that'll only slow him down.
He brings in assignment after assignment with the thousands of money that accompany them, but when his contractor tells him his next assignment involves taking out a recently assassinated general's second in command, he quickly realizes that he's apart of a coup which invites him into a new team: Task Force 141.
He's quick to deny the request but with the promise of a payload of more money than he's ever acquired into his bank account before, he's willing to do what's asked of him. Even if a Scottish soldier with the intentions of befriending him until the very end manages to get on his every nerve.
