I stared silently out the window of the moving vehicle, arms crossed tightly. I wanted to say something, but could I? It's not like my dad would listen. He was already fuming from having to pick me up from the water tower. He didn't even say anything for the entire time we've been in the car. I took a deep breath. "Dad, listen..." I began.
"Do you know how high that tower is?" He said, not allowing me to finish my sentence. "You could've fallen."
"There are rails, you know." I said. He tightened his grip on the steering wheel. "And that boy," he growled. "Do you have any idea what he could've done to you without any adult supervision around?!"
"But he didn't! Plus, there were other-"
"Y/N, I am severely disappointed in you. I thought you'd have better judgment than this."
"Oh my god..."
"What?"
"Dad," I sat up straight, "I'm sixteen! I can make decisions for myself! My judgment is fine!"
"Listen Y/N, tomorrow I'm walking with you to the break room to make sure you get there. You are one mistake away from having to sit with me in my office all day."I rolled my eyes and lounged back into my seat. So what? The three of them will just come by and see me. He won't be able to do anything to stop that. And so what if he does? I'll just go out and find them. What is he gonna do, ground me? I'd like to see him try.
Again, sorry for the shortness! I'm writing this during Thanksgiving, so I haven't gotten a chance to do much. I'm also working on concepts for my next project ✨. Anyways, the story's almost over, so ya know 👀
