If you were an outside observer looking in you could argue that this is an opportune moment for the kiss, at least that's what Kagami thought. Konata stood there unmoving like Aurora in the sleeping beauty. Hands together, full face front, quiet and at peace. Tsukasa, her twin sister was with her parents outside for a bit leaving Konata and Kagami alone.
Kagami stared like a hawk at her prey. Does she go forward and try or don't and regret this for the rest of her life. Wait regret? That should mean that it is more rewarding if she does kiss her? But is it though?
Surely Kagami thought in an egoistical manner that she deserved it. Konata has brought her through many different struggles. Heck she even haunted her in her dream, sleepily confessing something that she still regrets to this point. Kagami thought hard on that inching just a bit closer so that she could get a closer look on Konata.
Then perhaps sure but what if she finds out? Konata may be sleep deprived and currently in a rem state but she still probably has the energy to wake herself up at this moment if something goes wrong. And if it did then wouldn't it be detrimental? The work she put to this, her bonding moments, her pranks, even her failed attempts to influencing her for the better. All wasted.
But how would she know if this is true? Tsukasa crawls towards Konata and stops in front of her head in a kneeling position. Giving a final wish to every God she could think off she inches towards her lips eyes shut tight in fear with lips perked and shaky. Konata woke up.
Waken up to a kiss on her lips Konata flinched giving a shock to Tsukasa as she jumped aback. She sat up stretching her arms looking around to notice Tsukasa in the corner with her hands crossed and her face flushed in red.
This was in an anime Konata thought. This exact scene. The main character realizing that her side character had feelings for them. Though cliche at this point she now understands what it's like to have this feeling and for that she follows the path.
Crawling up to Kagami she pulls a bit of a smirk finally stopping directly in front of her kneeling. Finally breaking the silence she teases Kagami. "Who knew that Tsukasa told the truth this whole time" she cooed slowly moving her face towards her as Kagami slowly moved back until she felt the smooth, cold wall behind her giving her a shock as the blush of her cheek has finally made her body temperature considerably warm.
Clasping one hand to Kagami's chin Konata pulls her closer to a kiss. This kiss begins awkward at first due to the height and size difference but as it went longer the two savored it.
Clicking her shoes off the wooden platform Tsukasa ran towards the tatami room at full sprint. When she came back she felt a certain vibe she could not explain.
It was as if a large tension was relieved, like a wave of discovery or a major occurrence just happened. Looking around the room she found something odd. Kagami and Konata were reading in a quiet silence with a bit of a pink tint still stuck on there faces.
