Dark blood splatters the cold concrete. In front of you lies a wreck of what was once a battlefield but now just fragments of explosives and harsh huge fires. Your Tanuki friend, bruised, wounded and bloodied in all parts gives a loud, dying cough. She raises her bleeding head and opens her bloodied lips. "This is your fault Nazuna".
Nazuna gave a lurching scream morphing to her fox form gasping the cool air of her night, shivering in utter fear of her dream. Michiru, her friend popped her head out wide eyed at the scream she heard eyes filled with worry over her best friend's screech.
It has been over a month after the attacks that happened since the Sylvasta has attacked anima city. At first Nazuna thought that this was a minor issue. She thought that "this" issue she has been having would just be some slight trauma and as long as she could keep it down and ignore it then perhaps this could disappear.
What she didn't expect however is what she is suffering from is one of the many symptoms of PTSD coming from a mix of the utter shock of the things that transpired and her general guilt of failing Michiru gave her the growing nightmares that she experiences on the daily.
It has now come to such a clear problem that even Michiru has noticed this and to Nazuna's protest, requested to stay a night to check on how she's doing.
Michiru gave Nazuna a worrying expression. If one could squint you could argue that she is tearing up, angry that her best friend didn't say any of this sooner.
"I'm sorry" Nazuna whispered, her voice cracking as she is still recovering from her nightmare.
Michiru stood up slowly walking to Nazuna's side of the bed. "You should have told me sooner".
"I know it's just- I thought that this was a small thing you know. Like I thought this was something I can do- I'm sorry, I should have told you please forgive me" at that moment Nazuna broke down. Tears that have tried to be held down finally broke loose and Nazuna gave a loud, painful sob.
At that moment she felt arms wrapped around her slowly growing into a tight hug. It was Michiru unable to keep her anger for long she began to hug her. Nazuna embraced her back.
"Hey, it's ok. I forgive you already" Michiru whispered underneath her breath. "In the morning let's take you to the mayor, she'll understand what to do".
"But for now" Michiru continued slowly letting Nazuna lie down on her side of the bed. "Sleep first". Nazuna gave her a slow and light nod. She fell straight asleep afterwards.
Michiru saw this and began to take her leave back to her place when suddenly she felt a light tug in her tail. It was Nazuna, she was sleeping at that time yet her hand still grasped tightly to her, like a teddy bear to a child.
Michiru saw this and gave a sigh. She then followed by carefully removing Nazuna's paw from her place and going to the other side of Nazuna's bed. She gave a light kiss on her forehead. "Goodnight Nazuna".
