8- Hurt

After a night of torture and beating _____ was finally able to go to sleep on her own room.  She bandaged up her torso and ate some pain killers. Typically her step father knows she where a lot of shorts and short sleeves shirts so he learned not to harm those parts that will be exposed. This time he slightly slipped and cut her arm too. ____ had a slightly hard time wrapped her left arm but she managed. She like very night cried her self to sleep.

Next morning she clean herself and rewrapped her wounds with new bandages.

"Wake up you B*tch and make breakfast." She heard his step father yell.

_____ hurried down stairs and made food. _____ made breakfast and ate it. Then she got ready to go to her studio, the only place she found peace.

"Don't come home late again."  Her father said.

______ nodded and left.

A few hours later, at her art studio, she didn't draw anything today. She couldn't stop thinking about yesterday. All she wanted to do now was to see Hawks. She started doodling after mostly birds and then Hawks.

A few moments later she heard a knock on her window. She saw Hawks and went over to open the window for him.

"Had lunch yet?" Hawks asked.

_____ gently shook her head no as Hawks noticed her arm.

"Kid what happened? Why is your arm hurt." Hawks asked slightly worried.

She didn't say anything and looked away and wrote on a paper "so let's eat lunch"

"Baby bird, I'm worried. Is everything alright?" Hawks asked.

______ nodded and took out her lunch and started eating.

That they was complete silence. Hawks always talked about his day but today he was focus on _____.

"So you want me to take you home again today?"

_____ slightly flinch and looked up at him and wrote "My step dad doesn't really like you."

"Well I'm going to anyways! I'm make sure your safe." Hawks said.

_____ smiled and nodded.

"If there's anything you need anything you know I'm here for you. Okay baby bird?" Hawks said.

_____ nodded.

"Welp I'll see you later than lunch break is over time to go patrolling." Hawks said "oh one more thing! I'm going to go to Au tomorrow do you wanna come since they said I can bring a guest!"

______ quick nodded as she used to go to Au and it would be nice to see her teachers again. _____ then waved Hawks good bye.

Once it was time to go home Hawks was there like always. This time Hawks took _____ home via flying her home.  Once they where at the apartment hawks said "Why don't I come in with you?"

"You don't have to do that plus remember my step dad doesn't like you." She texted.

"I know but it really doesn't sit well with me you know? I just kinda want to know why."

"If you insist."

"I do insist."

______ opens the door and let Hawks inside.

"It's a pretty apartment." Hawks said and looked over to ____ as he took off his shoes.

_____'s step father hears a noise and looked over to see Hawks and _____.

"Oh sweetie heart your back and with a boy." He said slightly annoyed.

"Hello, you must be _____'s step father. Nice to meet you I'm h-"

"Yes Hawks the #2 hero. What brings you here."

"Just making sure you lovely daughter his safely home that's all."

"I see." He said and looked over to _____ who was quietly neating the shoes and head to the kitchen "______ be a good girl and get soem tea okay."

_____ nodded.

"Sooooooo _____ told me you didn't exactly like me." Hawks said.

"Oh that please understand I hate to see my little girl hurt by boys."  He smiles and lied "now come on in and sit down."

"So did you notice her arm. I'm stil I guy worried." Hawks said as _____ placed now the tea for them "thanks _____"

"Oh silly ____ is always clumsy. She probably was doing one of her projects and go hurt herself doing it right honey. Now sit down, don't just stand there." He said and patted the side of him.

______ nodded and sat down.

"Welp alright. I got to go fly now. See you tomorrow ____" Hawks said.

______ took Hawks to the front door and waved him good bye.
