𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐋 ★ 𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 ⁷

•Chapter 15: Honor•

After dealing with everything back at the pawnshop, Katherine and I make our way back to Emma and Killian's house to meet up with everyone. While we head over to spend some time with the boys, the Savior goes to Granny's to meet up with Killian and our parents for dinner. Loud music fills our ears as we approach the seaside home, causing my redheaded friend and me to stop in our tracks and exchange a quick look before continuing towards the house.

As soon as we reach the entrance, Katherine opens the door laughter fills the air before we see Austin and Roland having a dance party in the living room. While the raven-haired boy spins the younger around in the air, Sam, Felix, and Henry are chuckling at the formers' antics as they sit around a timer on the counter. Katherine and I share another amused look before she shuts the door behind her as we make our way to join the boys in the kitchen.

"How was your day in Rumplestiltskin's dreamland?" Felix asks with a mocking smile on his face before he slings an arm around my shoulder and places a gentle kiss on my temple.

"Just as annoying and unnecessary as you'd expect it to be," I mutter as my attention turns to the brightly lit oven, "what are you guys making?"

"Roland wanted cookies and I wasn't in the mood to see his sad face if I said no."

"The boy who grew up in a land without electricity made cookies?" I question before I turn my gaze away from the oven to look up at the tall blonde boy, "do you even know how an oven works?"

"That's what I'm here for," Henry says with a smile on his face as he opens the oven to check on their creation. After the toothpick he stuck in the center of the cookies comes out clean, he pulls them out of the oven and places them on the counter to cool while Roland races over to study the snickerdoodles in front of him.

A laugh escapes me at the sight of his large brown eyes looking over every one of the treats in front of him. My smile doesn't fade at the sight of him reaching for one, only for Austin to pull his hand back to stop the boy from burning himself. Everyone watches in curiosity and awe as the Prince of the Underworld holds his hand over the tray of cookies before an orange light radiates off of them and vanishes into his fingertips. Once the light disappears, Austin picks up a snickerdoodle before handing it to Roland, who happily eats the treat without a care in the world.

"What did you just do?" Sam asks while keeping his eyes on the freshly baked cookies in front of him.

"Nothing really. I just absorbed most of their heat so that we can eat them," Austin responds without a care in the world before taking a bite out of a cookie.

Laughter fills the air before everyone begins to dig into the treats in front of us. As we continue to talk about everything that's currently going on and other things that come up, I finally feel myself relax for the first time in a long time, even though everything could vanish before my very eyes in an instant. Just as Roland picks up the last snickerdoodle on the tray, the door swings open before Killian and Emma walk in with smiles on their faces. 

"Henry! Sam! Just the lads I was after," Killian says as he shuts the door behind him before making his way towards the two boys at the counter, "can I speak to the two of you in the other room for a moment?"

The two boys exchange a confused look before hopping off the stools they were sitting on and following Killian into the other room. Just as I go back to the conversation I was having with Katherine, Emma grabs my wrist before dragging me upstairs and into her room before closing the door behind her. My gaze stays locked on her as she walks over and sits on her bed before gesturing for me to sit beside her. After taking my place at her side, my sister lets out a long shaky breath before turning her body to fully face me.

"The two of us have been through a lot together since we first met back on Neverland. Going back in time, the false stories from Isaac," Emma says as I continue to watch her in silence with a curious look in my eyes, "you and I have been through a lot together, and on top of it, we found out we were sisters. Which is why I wanted to ask you...will you be my maid of honor?"

A smile bigger than humanly possible appears on my face before I pull the woman next to me into a hug as our laughter fills the room. "Of course I'll be your maid of honor! Is that even a question? I think I'd be offended if you asked someone else."

After sharing another laugh with my sister, we end out hug before getting to our feet and making our way back to join everyone. Just as we reach the top of the stairs, we pick up on Killian mentioning Emma as he mutters something to Henry and Sam with a sly smirk on his face.

"His mother will do what now?" Emma asks as the two of us make our way down the stairs before coming to a stop in front of the three boys while the rest of our group continues to hang out in the kitchen.

"The boys and I were just discussing business between men," Killian responds while placing his arms around Henry and Sam's shoulders.

"You can count on us. I'll see you tomorrow," Henry tells the pirate captain as the smile on his face slowly grows before he sprints up the stairs.

"Tomorrow? You live here," my sister questions while taking a step closer to her future husband.

"Aye. But I'm not staying here tonight. It's bad luck to see the bride before the wedding," Killian responds as if it was the most obvious thing in the world, only to receive a mocking look from the blonde woman before the captain of the Jolly Roger's face grows serious. "A seafaring man does not take superstitions lightly. The last thing you and I need is another stitch of bad luck. After tomorrow...there'll be no getting rid of me."

"Promise?"

"Aye."

A smile reappears on Emma's face before the two of them share a kiss. As soon as they finish their moment, I send Killian a fake irritated look, only to receive a playful eye-roll in response. After giving Emma a quick hug, I move to Felix's side then study the couple for a moment as joy fills every inch of my body.

"I thought I told the two of you to refrain from the flirtiness in front of me," I tease with a smirk on my face, "no matter how much I approve of this, it's still weird."

Everyone laughs as Felix's hand interlocks with mine before Killian gives Emma one last hug then joins my group and me on our journey back to Granny's to prepare for their big day tomorrow.

I hope you enjoyed this short filler chapter! I really wanted to show a bit more of Emma and Everly's relationship and thought this would be the perfect way to showcase it. I know that I told you in my announcement that I'd be doing a double update today but I feel like the next few chapters should be published together.
