Curses. Of course Lightworm would get hurt. And of course my sister had to marry him. Now I have to see his face on one of my favorite holidays. And feel sorry for him. This is preposterous!

On a chilly evening, the Herondales decided to get together for Thanksgiving. Everyone was excited, except Will Herondale. Because he had to see Gabriel Lightwood.

It has been a year since Cecily Herondale and Gabriel Lightwood have been married. Will wasn't happy about Gabriel being married to his sister, but he saw that Cecily truly loved him. Most of the time, he forgets all about Gabriel. Except this year, this year was different. Gabriel had tried to fix the roof of their home. There was a leak, and he decided to fix it himself. Instead, when he'd gone on top of the roof, he fell off and broke his leg. This ended in him getting a cast and being homebound. He couldn't do much because he was stuck in a wheelchair. Cecily has been caring for him for two weeks, but there was no way she was going to get him over to the London Institute, so instead Tessa offered to go visit them for Thanksgiving.

Will Herondale remembers everything perfectly. He remembered Tessa walking into the drawing room with a letter in her hand. She walked up to him and handed him the note. Afterwards, Tessa told him that she told Cecily they would have Thanksgiving at their house this year. Tessa said that Cecily was ecstatic and was planning everything to be perfect.

I put the pumpkin pie down on the table. The last one for the night. I sigh as I skim the table, making the last check to see if everything is there. This is going to be perfect for everyone. I smile, as the memories of me and Will when we were younger.

"Will! Dinner is ready!" I walk around looking for Will. Where could he be now? I walk around the house, not finding anything that could give me a clue where he was. There was one place I did not check, and there was no way I was going there. The air was cold and chilly, and I wasn't about to go out there looking for Will. But it looks like I'm going to have to. I grab my light coat and earmuffs, slipping my gloves on while I walk outside. I shiver from the cold, making me pull my jacket closer. I hear a muffled cry, making me slightly scared. But I know exactly what that is. I creep closer to the back of the house. I come around the corner, very slowly. I see Will, jumping around a duck. "Gwilym! I have been looking everywhere for you!" Will looks up and frowns at Cecily. "It's okay, get everyone inside. These ducks were trying to come inside and exterminate us, so instead I decided to defeat them with my bare hands!" He jumps around the ducks with his fists in the air, ready to fight. I cover my mouth, hiding the smile. "Will, let's go inside. It's cold out and dinner is done."

The bell rings, pulling my mind from the memory.

I open the door to see Will and Tessa at the door. They have bags in their hands, slightly shaking from the cold. Tessa is smiling, and Will is frowning lightly. They both look like opposites. Tessa looks happy, while Will looks like he had dreading news. I open the door wider so they can come in. They both walked in, Tessa smiling and gazing at my home.

"Welcome! Come in. Please do make yourself at home." I walk up to Tessa to take her jacket, but she puts her hand up to stop me.

Please, I can get my jacket off myself. No need for you to do much more." Tessa says as she slowly takes her jacket off. I walk up to her and pick her jacket off of her hands.

"You are my guest, Tessa. I will take care of you because you are." I smile and walk over to the coat hanger. I walk back over to Will and take his coat.

"You look happy to be here, Gwilym." I whisper to him. He smiles lightly, but he is staring off. Just like he had years ago. After the outside garments are taken care of, we walk into the dining room. The room has a long, grand table in the middle. It has several trays of food placed in the middle of the table. I hear a small gasp from Tessa. She must be amazed about everything. I go over to my seat, next to the head of the table. As I walk over to my seat, Will and Tessa take seats together. I start to make my plate, Tessa gives me a second look.

"You can make your plates now, if you wish." Tessa. Picks her plate up and observes the plates on the table. She sits back down, plate empty.

"Aren't we going to say our prayers?" Tessa asks. Will and I are in mid-eating when we both stop eating. I look at her, with a slight smile. She doesn't know that much, even though she had had Thanksgiving with us before.

"Of course, of course. We will say our prayers now." I close my eyes and form my hands into the prayer. I whisper my prayers I have learned from when I was little.

Diolch yn fawr, Angel Raziel. Diolch am y bwyd hwn a'r bywyd anhygoel hwn sydd gen i. Rwy'n ddiolchgar am fy nheulu a fy ngŵr. Rwy'n ddiolchgar am y plant sy'n rhaid i mi ddod. Os gwelwch yn dda, dim ond os gwelwch yn dda, gadewch i Gabriel wella.

A slight noise makes me open my eyes and stop my prayer.

He is done his treatment today.

William stands as he hears the voice in his head. His chair screeches as it slides against the floor. He stares at the Silent Brother.

"J-Jem?" Will asks. His voice was almost as silent as a whisper. I feel my heart clench as I see Will stare at Brother Zachariah. He stands there, quietly staring at Jem. They are both standing in their places, saying nothing. But they are saying everything. Because they were Parabatai.

Gabriel makes his way into the dining room. As he wheels his way pass Jem, he stares at Will. Jem notices that it was time, so he starts to make his way to exit the room. Jem was ready to leave, but Will stops him.

"Jem-" He says. Jem turns around, waiting for Will to say something. There is a few moments of silence until Will decided what to say.

"Jem....Happy Thanksgiving...." Will smiles, taking his seat. Jem exits the room; it's almost like everyone can breath now. No one says anything, though.

"Gabriel, would you like to cut the Turkey?"

"Thank you for the dinner!" Tessa says as she climbs into her carriage. I nod my head and wave. Will is standing outside the carriage, waiting for the last goodbyes.

"Hwyl fawr, Gwilym. Rwy'n dy garu di, a gobeithio eich bod chi'n gwybod na fydd hynny byth yn newid. Os gwelwch yn dda, mwynhewch weddill eich noson gyda Tessa." I said, pulling Will into a hug. He pats my head, smiling.

"I wish you would speak English. I'm getting a little old to remember Welsh, Cecily." He lets go of the hug, climbing into the carriage. I watch the carriage as it rides away. I walk back into my house, pulling my jacket off and hanging it. I walk over to Gabriel in his wheelchair. I straddle him in his chair. He looks up from his book, staring at me. He grabs my waist, smiling. I lean into him, putting my head on his shoulder. We sit like that for a while. He shifts a little, making me grin.

"What are you up to, Cecily?" Gabriel asks me. I grin more at his question.

"I love you, Gabriel." I tell him. Before he could say anything else, I kiss him.

A/N: I hope the Welsh is right......I used google translate XD. Next up: TDA New Years Eve/Day.
