So, the game was afoot. They collected Bruce from where he had been waiting for them and the three of them loaded up into Valkyrie's ship. Neither Aurora nor Brunnhilde dared to mention the conversation that had transpired moments ago as they soared through the air. Aurora was weak and she wasn't much help as she clung to the ceiling of the ship while Valkyrie navigated the carnage in the sky. Bruce had similar reactions, clinging to the back of her chair while she shot down a ship that had been chasing Thor.
"Nice shot!" Bruce exclaimed and Aurora chuckled at the compliment and the man's excitement.
Valkyrie just smiled and tried to radio to Thor's ship, saying, "Open the doors."
Ahead of them, they watched as the doors on the ship opened and Aurora very much did not like where this plan was going, but she knew she was going to have to suck it up and go along with it.
The woman turned to Bruce in her seat, shouting over the noise, "I hope you're tougher than you look!"
"Why?" he asked, a dazed and confused look on his face as Aurora realized he had no idea what the plan was. They were aligned perfectly underneath the open doors of Thor's ship and she knew there was only one way for them to get there. Bruce realized this slightly too late as Valkyrie pushed a button and the man went flying. He went straight through the open door and Aurora watched as he nearly fell out the other side, but thankfully found his grip and was able to pull himself up.
"Please tell me I get a little bit more of a warning?" Aurora asked, trying not to let worry show through her voice.
"Hold on, Princess," Valkyrie chuckled, nodding for her to take Bruce's seat which she happily did. There was a ship behind them beginning to fire at both ships.
"Where are the guns on this ship?" she heard Thor's voice come through the radio.
Brunnhilde pushed through the button to answer, "There aren't any. It's a leisure vessel. Grandmaster uses it for his good times, orgies and stuff."
Thor was silent after this and Aurora held in her laugh as they raced through the sky, wind whipping her braided hair around her shoulders. They were no longer beneath Thor's ship, instead following closely behind as they continued to be shot at. Their heads were slammed forward from the impact of one of their engines being shot out and she heard Valkyrie curse under her breath. An alarm beeped loudly and turning to her side, Aurora could see the billowing smoke and flame emitting from the back of the ship.
Valkyrie groaned, grabbing her sword as she hopped on top of the ship, pulling Aurora up with her. She turned to the blonde, holding her tightly and saying, "Hang tight."
Their ship was shot at once more and the heat from the explosion was already burning as the two of them leaped off with mere seconds to spare. Aurora's hand gripped Valkyrie's so tight she wondered if she was hurting the woman, but she hardly flinched. Brunnhilde clung to the side of Thor's ship with one hand, her other holding tightly onto Aurora who was stretching her arm as long as she could in an attempt to grab onto the open door frame, but it was just out of her reach.
