Pudding aged beautifully like wine. Her once blooming figure when she met her for the first time was shaped like an hourglass and her hazel-colored hair reached beneath her waist further. Her facial features have also matured as well, giving her a more adult appearance.
Her cheeks have flushed, seeing her former fiancé. "You, stalker! Don't you think you're going a bit overboard to daydream that I still like you?!" Pudding glared at the man before her while pointing a finger.
"If it's you, I'd like you all over again, Pudding-chwan~!" Sanji squeals in attraction towards the young woman whom he hasn't seen for years now.
Their relationship goes way back when Luffy picked a fight with Big Mom. To be able to escape her wrath, Sanji and Pudding joined forces to create a delicious cake for her. It was also when they had to part ways. Pudding was actually heartbroken about Sanji leaving but he doesn't know that because she removed his memories with her Devil Fruit Ability.
Because of their encounter today, those times appeared once more in her mind.
"Threats aside," Pudding put a hand on her slim waist, "Why are you here?"
Sanji grinned, making her heart skip a beat, "I think I am destined to meet you here, Pudding."
"Don't joke with me, idiot!" She exclaimed, but quickly realized she was creating a scene in the busy market so Pudding walks away. "Whatever, I don't really care. Bye!" She couldn't breathe at all due to her fast heartbeat and forced herself to walk away from him—as soon as she could.
Before she could go any further, a hand pulled her wrist, "But we just met again after a long time! Don't you want to catch up?" His tone made her want to agree but her mind screamed something else.
"Why do you want to get involved with me?! You're not chained to my mother anymore so you don't have to be so nice to me!" Pudding freed her hand from his hold and yelled at his face.
Silence.
Pudding was confused why he wasn't saying anything so she looked at him and was surprised to see him smiling gently. "So? I thought we were friends after we baked that huge cake? Baking partners?"
Tears built in the corner of her eyes and Sanji immediately noticed them. He carefully wiped them away with his fingers and said, "You haven't changed after all huh?" Sanji chuckled as if reminiscing the old days. "You're still so stingy whenever you're with me, Pudding-chan."
She brought her arms to her face and wiped her teary eyes on her sleeve, "Whatever. I guess we can catch up. Don't you have your crew to go back to?"
Sanji exhaled and placed the cigarette between his fingers, "We'll be staying here for a couple of days to stock food and do repairs on the ship anyway. I'll use this time to date the young lady." He took her hand and kissed the top of her knuckles, sending her cheeks blushing once more.
"Stupid! You think something like this will make me happy?! Think again, Sanji!" She stuck out her tongue at him and walked ahead of him. "...san~"
Pudding squealed to herself, hiding her joy under her hooded cloak. It was more than enough to know of his whereabouts in the newspaper, but being with him in person is better than anything she could ask for.
