The negatives Pudding had in her hand were dusty from being inside the drawer for a long time. She hasn't touched it since she set foot out of her own homeland. It was like a secret buried deep down in her heart and mind.
With shaky fingers, Pudding handed the film for Sanji to see. Unfortunately, edited memories can't be put back inside the person's mind so the man could only imagine what had happened that day before he escaped with the Straw-Hat Pirates.
"The favor you asked for..." Sanji trailed off, holding the film delicately in his hands. He couldn't believe that he forgot something as precious as this. It was his first kiss!
Pudding choked back a sob, "I'm sorry I didn't ask for your permission. It's just that...I don't want to worry you and to look back because of me and my feelings. My selfishness would burden you too while you're out on adventures with your crew. Don't you know how bad that would make me feel?"
For a moment, none of them spoke. In Pudding's perspective, the wound from the past has been opened but for Sanji, it was like he magically knew how to fix the wound that she had and was finally able to close and treat it.
"Can I say that I'm a little bit disappointed?" Sanji told the woman beside her. Her eyebrows curled in confusion.
"Why? How?" She asked. Pudding thought she deserved that disappointment but she asked the reason anyway just to clear her conscience.
In a dazzling pose, Sanji's eyes teared out in happiness, "I never knew I kissed an amazing woman!" Pudding smacked his head in irritation.
"How could you joke in a serious situation, you idiot!"
"But in all seriousness, you took my first kiss, Pudding-chan." Sanji plopped his chin on his palms, almost acting cute in front of her. She could yell at the top of her lungs on how handsome and effortless Sanji is but she decided to calm herself and act mighty.
"A womanizer like you had his first kiss with me? I always thought you kiss every beautiful woman you see out there." Pudding scoffed in bewilderment. She couldn't believe that they were each other's first kiss as well. How better can this get?
He smirked back at her, "What my old man taught me is to respect and take care of women, not to harass them. Is something dirty going on in your mind, Pudding-chan?" A raised brow indicated that he was teasing her and Pudding wasn't going to fall for it any time soon.
The girl didn't reply and continued to finish her warm tea before it got cold. "Just drink your tea and get out of my house. You're no longer welcome if you keep teasing me, you bastard. Don't think so highly of yourself."
She knew that her words didn't mean anything and it was actually the opposite. Sanji can tell the difference in a heartbeat. He smiled at her response and sipped from the tea cup.
"Oh, that made me wonder. Since we already kissed, does that mean...?" He licked his upper lip to remove excess tea. His question perked Pudding in curiosity.
"What?"
Sanji drew in a breath before saying, "Then that means we're technically married now."
