He's Not A Freak

Jack Will

A/N: Any errors I make, pardon me- I am hella sick and tired. Also, I don't quite remember the backstories of the characters all that well.

Jack Will's POV

As I got ready for my walk home, my mom had already been called. She told me to hurry home, but she didn't sound as angry when she heard what had occurred. I figured I'd tell her the rest of the story once I got home.

Once I arrived home I made my way up to my room and sat down, awaiting a text from hopefully August. I tried to think of ways to make it better for myself, but all I could think of is how I didn't really like school all that much anyways.

Once it hit 5:00 I got worried and decided to tell my mom I was heading to Auggie's to check on him. I couldn't help but feel like something was wrong. She told me okay and to let her know if I was staying the night and I hurried off to his house.

He wasn't too far away so I made it there in a good fifteen minutes. I knocked on the door to be met with Auggie's sister, Via.

"Hey Via, is Auggie home?" I asked worried.

She smiled and moved so I could come in, she shut the door behind us and spoke up. "Yeah, he's in his room now. He has been suspended for a week. But I think he'd enjoy your company right now, he hasn't been much of a talker," she said, making me much more worried.

"Did... Did he tell you what happened?" I asked once more.

"He got in a fight with some kids and decided to fight back, I told him I'd take him out to a movie when Mom gets over it," Via laughed. I couldn't help but crack a smile.

I started towards his room, "Thank you so much Via!" I shouted behind me.

"No problem, just put a smile on his face and I won't fight you," I smiled again to myself and hurried up to his room.

I could feel my chest begin to swell with excitement as I knocked on the door. I heard a muffled, "Come in." and made my way in with no further thought.

I looked at Auggie who laid on his bed. He looked at me and the sad look that was on his face left and immediately. His smile radiated through the whole room as he jumped up and ran up to me, wrapping his arms around my waist, as I sat a bit taller than him.

I smiled a bit and wrapped my arms around him. "Who hurt you?" I asked in concern, as it hit me like a train as I realized he had probably got hurt during the fight. He looked at me with a confident look. I couldn't help the small smile that grew to a wide grin as he smirked.

"Some kid in our grade, but I totally won!" he said in excitement. I let out a small laugh and pulled him in for a tighter hug. "Only a couple bruises, but I gave him a black eye! He had gotten in a fight earlier that day and got expelled for the rest of the year," I felt my body heat up in anger and pulled back a little. He gave me a concerned look and gave me a confused, "Well at least that's what they're talking about happening. At least that's what Charlotte said."

I gave a small smile to show I didn't mean I was upset with him. "I actually... fought him earlier today. He didn't like us being together," I stated in my best calm voice. Auggie looked at me and his happiness left. "But we should be okay now! Most people are probably on our side! Everyone loves you Auggie!" I shouted and watched him pull fully from me.

He turned away and paced towards his bed, head hanging. "Auggie?"

"I got... I got you into a fight?!" he shouted in anger. I felt heat rise to my cheeks.

"Yeah, but it's really not a problem. We can spend the week together and go see that movie with Via," I stated as I tried to cheer him up once more. He looked at me disappointed once again. "I punched Julian, I can punch some other dude as well."

Auggie gave a small smile and I returned it. He sat on the bed and I joined him. He looked disappointed still and I wrapped my arms around him and laid down with him next to me. I glanced down and giggled leaning down and booping his nose with mine. His face lit up in a blush.

"Hey Jack Will?" Auggie whispered.

"Yeah?" I answered softly, my face now getting redder as we spoke.

"I... I want to kiss you," he stated.

"Okay."

I watched as he leaned towards me and I hugged him closer. "I love you Auggie," I whispered against his mouth.

"I love you too Jack," he said , his hot breath hitting my mouth.

Our mouths connected in an awkward kiss that only got slightly more experienced. My face heated up and I couldn't help the squeak I made when he pulled back.

"We should do that more often," I mumbled as we were only an inch apart still. His face lit up in a blush.

"Thank you," he whispered.

I gave him a confused look and he smiled. "For what?"

"Coming over, being my boyfriend. A lot of things," August whispered.

I smiled and pulled him back in for another kiss.

A/N: I guess I can keep updating, word count 914. Tell me what you guys want for incoming chapters. To be honest, I'm gonna re read the books and watch the movie because I forgot a lot about the characters. But besides that, you know I've been writing this since the end of eighth grade and now I'm in eleventh so... Sorry for the horrible updating schedule? I was gonna post this yesterday, but I went to my girlfriend's house instead. So enjoy the update and I'll get back to you with another chapter hopefully not in a year. Also let me know if you like this writing style or if you'd want it in a more book like style?
