You slightly touched the doorknob, standing infront of the door of your master, you couldn't bring yourself to open the door and confront him about teaming with the fatui.
But afraid that he might have to bring her up, you were hesitant.

Taking in a deep breath you grabbed the doorknob and twisted it, the door slowly opened, revealing your master, Gardien.
"Do you need something,(name)?" He asked, not bothering to turn around as he expected you to visit.

"Yes sir, I still wanna know the reason behind working with the fatui." You stepped inside and closed the door behind you, walking over to gardien. He turned around and his gentle eyes pierced into your (e/c) ones.

"I don't understand, why did we have to work with the fatui?" You clenched your hands.

"(Name), I understand why you took a disliking to them, but it's for our sake." He simply replied in his gentle tone.

"Why is it for our sake? We have so much more than them, are you afraid? Are you afraid that their harbingers might attack us? Just because they're strong? You know we are stronger." You retorted.

He sighed and looked back at the window.

"It's not that I'm afraid, it's that they have something that we don't."

You furrowed your brows, was he motioning to the gnosis that they stole?
"You mean barbatos' gnosis?"

"Not exactly, they have a weapon."

"A weapon?"

"Yes."

You didn't know what kind of "weapon" he meant, but if it was something that would make him partner up with the fatui, he could be lying even though gardien isn't the one to lie to you. But there is no guarantee he's telling the truth.

"What kind of weapon?- you know what nevermind that, you know that tonnerre and the others won't agree to this."

"Actually I've already talked to them about, and they're fine with it. You're the only making a fuss about it." He huffed.

"Making a fuss? You know my history with them and you still- I can't believe this!" You slammed your hands on his desk, you were too enraged, how could the others agree with this? How could he do this?

"You know what? Screw all of you!" You turned around filled with anger, stomping to the door, you took one last look at gardien and he was unfazed like he expected it.
Opening the door you immediately walked out and shut it roughly behind you.
Even the guards by the door securing it got scared.

Walking out of the building, you noticed some fatui members already talking with the people of your organization, and they looked like they were getting along pretty well.

I need to clear my head.

You took a path to the woods, where you would usually go if you were feeling upset.
It was a good way of letting your stress out, just relaxing in the forest or break down the trees and scream.

And just like that you had to begin your new life with the fatui.
