The next day: Monday

Jin was running up and down the stairs with a piece of untoasted bread in his mouth, his bag in one hand and jacket in the other.

Jk was eyeing Jin angrily, while quietly having his bread and juice at the dining table. He was half asleep.

With their parents gone, they had no one to wake them up in the mornings and the alarm was not effective, both were heavy sleepers.

Seeing Jin panic for the 100th time, Jk rushed towards Jin after finishing his toast.

"I thought you were an adult?'' Jk said, glaring Jin but preparing juice for him.

"What does being an adult got to do with this?" Asking in a serious tone

"You know you are supposed to be up and early as you are an adult and mature man now. Also they are supposed to keep their promise at least."

"Are you mad at me about yesterday Jk? I said I am sorry I had to go for an urgent assignment and we couldn't fulfil our plans for the day. I will make it up to you this Saturday. We will go to the arcade like you suggested." Jin said, keeping a hand over Jks' shoulder.

"You can understand that I just joined my company and I don't want to cause any problems there now. This doesn't mean that I don't consider you as a priority."

Jk was observing Jins' face as if to find out if he was lying or being honest. He wanted to shout at him but he also knew Jin had no choice. To be honest it shouldn't matter so much they could always postpone any plans.

What bothered Jk was that he barely got any time to relax and have a good time for the past 5 years. He just had Jin. But he lost a lot of time arguing before, then Jin went away, now both are busy in their own lives and duties. He just feels empty all of a sudden, thinking back at all the times he wasted arguing and hurting.

"I know you have a responsibility, I am sorry I reacted that way. I hope you understand me too."

Jk said, looking straight into Jins' eyes. His eyes glistened a little.

"I know Jk. Why don't we finish this juice you made for me?"

"I didn't make it for you", Jk said, pouting.

Jin smiled a little and gulped down the juice in one go.
