CHAPTER 3

Next day, I woke up more relaxed than usual. I looked on the clock and realized that I slept 2 hours more, so I stood up quickly and went to the kitchen.

When I ate the breakfast, I realized that I’ve promised Mia, last night on the phone, that I will go in the shopping center with her. Since I agreed on going to the party today, she came up with idea, that we must buy new dresses. You know I love shopping, but what can you do, if you have no money. Or even if you have, there’s nothing that can help you, if you spent all of the money you have in a second?

I would say nothing, but… Mia thinks we can change that so she made me promise another thing too. When I told her that I don’t have any money to pay the dress, she offered that she would help me, if I won´t spent my money on everything I find beautiful.

So I wanted to go to change, when my phone started ringing. It was Mia.

˝Are you ready? ˝

˝Well, hello to you too, Mia.˝

˝Don’t start. I will be at your place in 30 minutes. You better hurry, if you aren’t ready yet. ˝

˝Don’t worry, I will be. I just have to go change and I will be ready.˝

˝Oh, ok. I will see you later. Bye.˝

˝Bye.˝

I put my phone on the bedside table and go changed. I was almost ready when someone knocked on my door. I opened the door and saw a smile on Mia´s face:

˝We are going shopping!˝

I didn’t know why she was so happy about that. She doesn’t like shopping so much I do. ˝Why so much happiness?˝

˝Well… we will go on a party later and we must to have the prettiest dresses. ˝

˝Oh no. What´s that? ˝ I pointed on the look on her face.

˝What? ˝

˝Why you feel guilty about that? ……. Or.. I have to ask you, what have you done? ˝ I know something is wrong.

˝Why you think that? ˝

˝Because I know you. What I don’t know, Mia? Tell me. Now.˝ She is hiding something.

˝Ok, but don’t be mad at me… yesterday I met some guy.. He was so charming and.. Before we said goodbyes to each other, I asked, if he will be on a party. Since you would be alone, he came up with idea that he will bring a friend with him. So you would have a company.˝

I didn’t know what to say to her. I was angry, because she didn’t tell me earlier. How could she do that to me, when she know how I don’t like meeting new people, because I always embarrass myself or I don’t know what to say?

I looked away and thought about what I could do.

˝I won´t go.˝

˝What? ˝ She was surprised more that I though she will be. ˝Emma… you can´t do that again.˝

˝I can and I will, Mia. Do me a favor and stop deciding on things like this on your own anymore, will you? ˝

˝ Ok, Emma… But please.. I really like this guy and it would be weird, if you wouldn´t come. I promise, that we will go home earlier, if you say so.˝

I know she deserves to meet a guy, who is good and kind.. and maybe today is that day. Ugh, I hate when she gets, what she wants.

˝Ok, but don’t leave me alone with him. You know how I don’t like to be alone with a stranger. ˝ What can I say? You never know what to expect, what she/he is like…

˝Yeah, I know. I won´t, but don’t blame me, if I won´t be around you all the time.˝

Then we went to the shopping center and in a few hours we found us perfect dresses or what we hoped they are.

˝You look amazing, Mia! Don’t say otherwise ever again.˝

˝I don’t know, Emma.. You think he will like it? ˝

˝Don’t be silly. He won´t like it, he will love it.˝

˝How about you? You keep on complaining...˝

˝No, I don’t.˝ Ok, yes I am, but the prize of the dress.. I can´t allow her, to pay it for me. I need a plan.

˝Um, Mia? I forgot about some money I found a few days ago.. so I will go and just pay it. I will wait for you outside ok?˝ What the hell are you doing Emma? You know she will kill you, if you don’t go to the party in that dress today… Ugh, I wish that the prize was lower..˝

˝Excuse me miss.. you hold in your hand the dress that I have to take for a minute. I have to change the prize.˝

˝Oh no. the prize is already overrated.˝

˝No.. the prize is lower. I forgot to change it earlier.˝

Really! This can´t be true or can it be?

 I paid for it and waited for Mia. When she comes outside she won´t believe me.

And just like I said, she didn’t believe me. I had to show everything to her.

After that…. We didn’t eat yet, so we went to find something to eat and then back to find the shoes and earrings…

When we were done, we went home. I was so exhausted, that I laid on the bed and even fell asleep.

I woke up when my phone started to ring. I realize it was Mia, so I just went to the front door and opened them.

˝Where were you? I called you 5 times! ˝

˝Yeah, I know, I just fell asleep… how much time do we have before we go on a party?˝

˝Not much, so hurry up! ˝
