chapter one: the day we met

Y/N POV

"yawnn~" I woke up from a long comfortable sleep last night, forgetting that I was told to deliver some fresh meat to Mondstadt today. As a simple girl who lives in Springvale I was raised to work everyday and listen to whatever my parents said. Every week my brother would be asked to send some fresh meat to Mondstadt but he was sick so I was told to go there myself. I personally have never really been outside of Springvale, so going into a big city for the fist time was kind of a huge thing for me. 

I immediately took a bath and brushed my teeth, the clouds were dark even though it was early in the morning. "Y/N GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW, YOU ARE 10 MIN LATE ALREADY" screamed my mother from downstairs. As quick as I can, I rushed downstairs and took the meat that had to be delivered and rushed out the house. "Hmm so I need to send this to a receptionist called Katheryne?" I mumbled as I was walking to the big city. 

Soon enough I arrived, it was much louder in the city than in Springvale. Springvale felt more... quiet. While here in the big city, rustling noises and people all around the streets were chatting. But as I came into the gates of the city it immediately became quiet. I started to panic and just ran to the nearest shop to ask where this "Katheryne" was. 

As I was walking towards the shop I heard someone talking and mumbling to themselves, I couldn't help but overhear this girl talking about a guy called Diluc. She seemed to really like him, maybe it was her boyfriend? or maybe they are a married couple already? But I really couldn't care less, it wasn't any of my business anyways right? right. 

I ran to her and asked if she knew a girl called "Katheryne", she replied with "Oh hi im Donna, you are?" with a bright smile on her face, she seemed nice, maybe we could be friends. "Hi im Y/N, and im looking for a girl called Katheryne, i was asked to deliver some fresh meat hehe" i said, "Oh shes right there" she replied while pointing at a Girl behind a desk. I ran to Katheryne while looking back and waving at Donna while saying thanks. 

I arrived in front of Katheryne and gave her the meat, she said thanks with a bright smile on her face. As I was about to leave, I looked up at the sky and it looked like it was going to rain. I immediately started running back to Springvale before it started raining.

THUD! a loud sound came, I wasn't paying much attention to my surroundings in which I fell because the grass was wet, rain started pouring out of the sky, my clothes started to soak in the water and I didn't know what to do, as I stood up and continued walking home. 

Something is not right. But I cant seem to figure it out... and that was when a slime jumped in front of me. I had never in my life saw one, so I started panicking, I was so frozen in shock and so I didn't know what to do. Until I felt something pick me up in a bridal carry pose and I closed my eyes and started screaming because I thought I was getting kidnapped. It was a boy, he put his hand over my eyes so I couldn't see anything. I started to smell fire but it immediately got extinguished the rain, he took his hand off my eyes and put me down on the ground.  He didn't say much, we were just staring at each other, it was almost like we couldn't stop looking at each other for some reason. 

I couldn't tell what he was thinking, but at the same time we both looked away, and I asked him if he got hurt because of the slimes, but he said he didn't get hurt so I assumed he was fine, he offered to walk me home and gave me his jacket, just took his jacket off and put it on me without me realizing.

It was raining his hair was and he looked funny and so I let out a small giggle, he stared at me and gave a warm small smile that made my heart flutter, but that smile quickly just became a blank face. I somehow knew that one second of him smiling was pure. He took my hand and ran with me through the rain back to Springvale, it all happened so fast yet so slow. After we arrived in front of Springvale he gave me a last look and ran back somewhere else. I forgot to ask his name and shouted " HEY WAIT UP- I FORGOT TO ASK WHAT YOUR NAME WAS" but he didn't hear it. I walked slowly into my house and all I remembered was he had red hair and red eyes. 

As I went home I saw all me and my family's stuff packs in boxes, I was really confused until my mother said "hey welcome home, I have something to tell you-" but she was cut off by my neighbor knocking on the door. As soon as I opened the door she gave me a big hug and started crying while saying "I cant believe you guys are moving to Mondstadt, we've been neighbors for so long". I stood there in shock. I didn't know what to think of this.

 All i know is its going to be a whole new thing for me.
