Little did they know, Jamie and Argus turned to be best friends. They fooled around in school and made pranks and jokes and surprisingly never got caught. They both were also brilliant in their studies and managed to skip a year to year 11 where they had their GCSEs.

Polina and Argus met every Saturday night. Polina would take that day off, transform into her cat form, and sneak into the castle to meet up with Argus. Argus would be very careful to sneak where they would meet.

They met on the top floor of the castle where nobody went to. Professors and security guards would never head there as they didn't think students would manage to get there. but Argus found a secret folded ladder and he and Polina would sit there and talk for hours before they headed back.

After graduating from school, Argus happily headed back to Diagon Alley. He spent another year there before something dreadful happened, Polina Norris's curse hit. Polina had come to live with  Argus at Diagon Alley. They lived happily there and were very much in love. One day, Argus woke up to find a cat sitting on Polina's bed.

Eventually, Argus was kicked out of Diagon Alley as many people started loafing the squib and only kept him there because Polina was a "witch". Someone else bought over the house and Argus searched desperately for a job. Eventually, he bumped into kind Dumbledore who was coincidentally looking for a caretaker for Hogwarts.

Argus didn't want to accept it at first but he did anyway. Dumbledore also eventually helped Argus uncover some truths about his family.

Argus's father was murdered by a pureblood family that went by the last name of Avery. They loafed Michael as he always welcomed muggle-born families and muggles themselves to associate with him. He was kind to everyone and sometimes secretly used magic to help the muggles. The Avery family was originally close to him but eventually loafed him after they were confronted by Michael to not use the cruciatus curse on some unlucky muggle that bumped into them. Michael was originally going to contact the Ministry of Magic about this but the Averys were quicker.

Michael was headed to Flourish and Blotts that day to get a book, then was going straight to the Ministry to report about the Averys but one of the members of the family managed to cast the Imperius curse on him to make himself go all the way to Begins and Burkes, and they cast the killing curse on him.

Argus didn't very much like the students at Hogwarts. They were all always using magic and talking about it. Argus thought that it was ridiculous how children these days only depended on magic for everything.

Polina stayed on Argus's side. She seemed to be thinking the same thing as Argus and reported to Argus whenever she saw students misbehaving.

Argus, surprisingly, loved Slytherin very much. He felt that they could accept him for who he is and he could get a taste of what being a wizard would be like. He also loved that the Slytherins loafed the other students. He would support Slytherin in quidditch matches and so on.

Argus Filch was soon known to be the cruel and scary caretaker of Hogwarts that was weirdly and in love with his trusty cat.
