                -- Two Weeks Later --
       "You can't do that Ian!"
"Yes I can! Read the rules to the game." Manny slammed his fist down on the table where they played which caused the pieces to scatter everywhere.
The whole band was sitting around watching Ian and Manny play another extremely competative game of chess while the bus took a pit stop at a gas station. Curt was giving Ian poor advice while Nicky was whispering different advice into Manny's ear. Delilah watched the game as a referee with Roland's arm draped over her shoulder. She was just trying to keep the guys from killing each other.
"Actually, Manny, Ian can do that. It's a legal move." Manny slammed his fist down again and pushed away from it.
"Ok, that's it. It's late, I'm tired. Goodnight all." He gave everybody a half-hearted wave and tried to walk away but Ian followed him. As everyone watched their proceedingly amusing arguement, Delilah was distracted by Nicky's discreet escape from the bus. Ducking under Roland's arm, Delilah told him to stay where he was as she followed her out. By the time she came out, Nicky was leaning against the side of the bus deep in thought looking up into the night sky.
"Hey, Nicky," Delilah said quietly in order not to startle her. "How are you?" With a distant look, she glanced over at her and shrugged.
"Good I guess." She sighed. "Just thinking about Manny and I." Delilah looked at her in concern.
"Oh! You're not going to...break up with him are you?" she asked tentatively. For a second, Nicky almost looked like she was going to say yes but then she looked down and shook her head.
"At first I thought I might after I told you about...you know," she looked at her and Delilah nodded, "but then I thought...just because I loved Roland doesn't mean I can't eventually love Manny." To that, Delilah nodded and patted Nicky on the shoulder.
"I think that that's good. To be honest, I think you guys are a great couple." At that, Nicky smiled.
       "Thanks. So do I."
                                  ...
Coming in from the cold, Delilah shivered and came up to Roland who put his arm over her shoulders and rubbed them soothingly.
"So, what did you and Nicky talk about?" Roland asked quietly after she had walked past them and into the other room of the bus. Delilah shrugged.
"Oh, not much. She just wanted to get some fresh air before we took off again." She quickly changed the subject. "So, when are we taking off?" He sighed and then looked out the window.
"Not long now. We need to get a move on if we are going to make it halfway across Australia by morning." The band would have originally stayed in a hotel that night and waited until morning to take off but ever since their set back in schedule, they had been on the road non-stop.
"Well, I hope we leave soon," Delilah said anxiously. "I'm ready to get on the road." At that, Roland threw her a concerned glance turned her body around so that she was facing him.
"So, are you sure that you want to be on the road with us? There's going to be a lot of sitting around and monotony while on the road. I mean, I can fly you out to my flat in London to live while we finish up this tour-". Delilah then interrupted by pressing her finger to his lips.
"Roland. Your tour ends in November and it is currently May. If I really wanted throw away the time that I have with you, then I would have stayed back in my time and waited for your tour to end there." The greenish-brown eyed boy then looked at her with an almost pained look.
"I know. I just want to make sure that you have a good life that's not always making you rush around. A normal life...well at least a partially normal life." He chuckled and waited somewhat tensely for her answer. But all she did was laugh.
"As long as I'm with you, my life is good and no amount of travelling can change that. Besides," she answered walking towards the couch she had first slept on, "this bus has sort of grown on me. I'd probably miss it if I were anywhere else." Plopping down on it, she watched Roland grin and follow her over to it. He layed down next to her and pursed his lips.
"You mean you'd even miss this cruddy, hard couch?" She then laughed again and Roland swooned at her melodic voice.
"Especially this couch. Because this is where-"
"I first saw you," he finished brushing hair back from her face. And then, he took one last longing look at her and kissed her just like it was the first time. They stayed like that for what felt like forever and when forever came, it still wasn't enough.
