(hogsmeade) "well, what I'm asking is whether you'll accompany me to Hogsmeade."

THE FIRST HOGSMEADE trip of the year was nearing, and Hermione, as usual, was planning to go with Harry and Ron.
Well, planning on it.
Hermione had Arithmancy as her last lesson on the Friday before the Hogsmeade weekend. For once, she wasn't listening to Professor Vector's long winded lectures, her eyes were on her watch, she couldn't wait to leave class and relax.
"And that is all. Your essays are due next week." Professor Vector said finally, signalling the end of the lesson.
Everyone scrambled to their feet, packing up their things and hurriedly making their way out of the classroom. Hermione took more care with hers, not wanting to damage anything in her bag. From the corner of her eye, she saw someone approach her desk.
"Lovely weather, right Granger?" A familiar voice asked.
Hermione looked up to meet the familiar gaze of none other than Asteria Rosier.
"You're asking me about the weather?"
"I suppose I am."
They were silent for a bit, the only noise was the scratching from their professors quill, and the idle chatter from the other kids left in the class.
I wanted to ask you something, actually." Asteria said, fiddling with the strap of her bag.
"And what is that?" Hermione asked, swinging her bag onto her back.
"I was thinking, or...erm.....well, what I'm asking....is whether you'll accompany me to Hogsmeade tomorrow." Asteria said shyly.
Hermione's eyes widened.
"You, and me? Go to Hogsmeade?" she asked in disbelief.
"Well yeah. That's the general idea." Asteria said, her face flushed pink with embarrassment.
Once the realisation sunk in, Hermione considered her options. Asteria was fun, Hogsmeade with her would probably be eventful, but then again, Harry and Ron would see her as a traitor. She doubted Harry would notice anyway, he was too obsessed with Draco Malfoy nowadays.
"Yeah, sure. I'd love to go to Hogsmeade with you." Hermione said.
She gave Asteria a warm smile, then left the classroom, feeling slightly jittery for the events about to unfold.
