CHAPTER FIVE:
her apology

"𝒲e'll be thinking of you, dear," Ariyah pulled Elora into a sisterly hug, squeezing tightly in deject that her best friend couldn't join them at Hogsmeade. The white frosting fell from the air and landed atop all their heads as the blonde girl took hold of her woolly hat and placed it over Ariyah's head.

"You'll need it more than I will," Elora sighed, turning to Lily as the red headed girl pouted out. "Don't let me ruin the mood, promise you'll both have the fun you deserve?" She added whilst her voice tried to be positive.

"We'll bring you back some butter beer, alright?" Lily sighed and finally pulled away, meeting with Ariyah's side as the two girls smiled remorsefully at their best friend. Elora nodded and began to step further away, "See you later," Lily mouthed and turned on her heels, the girls running after the Mauraders in hopes they could walk with the boys.

Ariyah felt terrible for Elora, she truly did. The girl didn't deserve the home life she had received and what annoyed her was that the Professors knew she would never have the chance to go on the trip at this rate. "Can't you do anything about it, boys? You know every secret passage way of Hogwarts," Ariyah sighed.

Just as Remus opened his mouth to respond, Lily had gasped and let go of Ariyah's hand, "There's Severus! I need to go and ask him a few questions about Defence Against The Dark Arts, I'll see you guys at Hogsmeade!" Lily waved goodbye before anyone could say anything and ran over to the greasy haired boy.

"What a git, why does Evan's even like him anyway, Ariyah? I mean, look at the greasy slime ball...he needs to wash his hair," Sirius scoffed, earning an annoyed and disappointed look from the brunette girl. "Sorry," He whispered to her, recalling her request for him to keep the insults at a minimum.

"Severus was there for Lily when her own sister wasn't," Ariyah responded honestly, looking over to James who was dragging his feet along the snow in an annoyed matter. "But he's just a friend...I mean. Someone as beautiful as Lily would never end up with Snape," She added in hopes it would enlighten his mood.

James looked up at the girl with her comment, a bunched up smile on his lips as she returned it. "Now, pass me the map," Ariyah said as though her comment was nothing, her hands out in front of her with her eyes ahead whilst the boys all looked to one another and at her. "Oh come off of it, Remus told me about it ages ago," She scoffed.

"Moony!" Peter groaned as the rest of the boys laughed. When the brunette girl turned to the mouse featured boy he gulped and ultimately looked straight at the floor, power overwhelming the girl as she knew he seemed scared of her.

The Quidditch player dig inside his pocket and pulled the piece of parchment out, placing it in her hands as she grinned down at this. "Now, this is exciting," Her dimples seeped through as Sirius stared down at her with a smile of his own. "I solemnly swear I am up to no good," She said confidently and squealed as the ink began to dissolve.
