𝕾irus sat at the grande table, his mother at the head of the chair, and his father, Orion, at the other. His aunt, uncle, cousins and brother sat filling the rest. Occasionally, he and Regulus would share annoyed glares with one another due to the hatred they shared for the family. But never the less, Regulus would listen to what his mother would say: furthermore granting him so much anonymous time away from Hogwarts.

"And what about you, Sirius? Any girl you've taken a fancy into?" Sirius's aunt, Druella, asked as she put the glass of alcohol to her lips.

Everyone glanced to the brunette boy, watching as he slowly finished his drink of whiskey and treated the comment like he had all the time in the world to respond. "No." He finally responded in a short manner, his mother raising her brows.

"No! No? You're coming to your last years and you haven't found the woman you're going to marry?" She scoffed, turning to her sister in disbelief as Sirius rolled his eyes. ("Mother, shut it,") He groaned. "I beg your pardon. I ought to expect you marry a rich, pure-blooded woman who respects herself as well as you,"

"What about that girl you're always hanging around with," Andromeda, the only cousin Sirius could stand, smiled to the boy with a hint of tease in her tone. The brunette boy raised a brow, "Oh, come on Sirius. I saw you two outside on the bench by the Black Lake? Or, when you sit with her at Lunch?" She added.

Sirius opened his mouth to deny the words, only to be cut off. "Ah, you mean wonderful Ariyah Gray. You do spend a lot of time with her now, don't you Sirius?" Regulus joined in the joke, smiling to Andromeda who was on the edge of bursting out laughing.

"Who is Ariyah Gray?" Their mother asked in an instant.

"She's a pretty girl in our year," Andromeda responded with a smile, Walburga dropping her posture in relief there was slight potential Sirius had actually got a girl.

"And what does she do to? Or should I say, does she have the power to control our Sirius?" Walburga raised her brows as her oldest son rolled his eyes and finished off the last bit of his strong alcohol.

"She actually helps him study, mother. He's already improved in most classes all because of her," Regulus responded before his brother could. "Anything to add, brother?"

Sirius shrugged with a smile, "I mean, she's a fine young lady?" slightly intoxicated, the three of the teenagers began to make a joke of the situation in hopes it would please Walburga and shut her up about the conversation of the needing of a respectable wife.
