Cuddles at Night

Prompt: After a long day in the Arena, they watch anime and cuddle. (Fluff)

The thing that they were watching is the YouTube video above (which is not mine, but it is from the anime Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions) and the setting is the photo above (which is also not mine) Granger and Guinevere are wearing their Doomsday Terminator skin and Lotus skin respectively (i live for opposites attract!) but in pajama form.

Disclaimer: I am not a medical student so I don't know body parts... I did as much research as possible before this with _Jasmoon to try to describe their position better :)

Granger pulled up the fluffy knitted beige blanket closer to their shoulders as the television screen flashed with Rikka fighting her sister. He has seen this part about a million times now, but tonight was when he finally watched it with Guinevere. Granger looked down to see the redhead's reaction but all he got was soft snoring from the girl who was tucked under his right arm with her head resting on his upper chest, her left arm against his chest while her right was encircling his stomach.

The silver-haired guy chuckled softly and pulled the covers around them tighter, feeling the slow breaths of the brunette asleep and using him as a pillow. It was a wonder how she managed to fall asleep while watching an action-packed anime with him. He felt Guinevere tighten her embrace around him and Granger yawned, his eyelids drooping and struggling to remain open.

Guinevere sluggishly walked towards him on the couch sleepily. "I'm so tired..." She stretched and yawned, crawling under the blanket to cuddle with him. "We can watch it some other time if you want." Granger offered as he grabbed the remote from the table. The pink-clad brunette shook her head as a sign of refusal. "I think I can stay awake," Guinevere smiled "C'mon! Screencast it!"

The silver-haired guy tapped some icons on his screen and the anime was shown on the TV. His eyes were only set on the brunette beside him though, who showed a poker-face as a reaction to the scenes before her.

Nearing the end of the episode, Granger felt Guinevere rest her head against his chest. "You worked hard at the Arena today." He whispered as he gently took out the elastics holding up her nearly-undone space-buns. The latter simply let out a exhale of amusement.

Although the television flashed with intense colours and boomed with loud sounds, the pair basked in the repose of the night, making an oxymoron to end their day.

The Doomsday Terminator shot up with a start and looked around him. He was still in the living room with Guinevere who was sound asleep. Granger looked at the TV which was still on, judging from the scene that was playing, he could make a guess that they had slept through most of the anime, making the TV play the 6th episode.

He tried to do the math on how long they had slept but ended up scrunching his eyebrows in confusion and gave up part way through solving the equation. Granger carefully pressed a few buttons on the remote and his phone to stop screen-casting, the once flashy living room became dim, the only source of light now being the candles in the middle of the low coffee table in their living room.

Granger rolled over, wrapping the two of them in a blanket burrito, and stretched out to blow the candles out in one swift blow. Guinevere was now directly on top of him and was still sleeping. Flustered from their current state, the silver-haired guy gulped and pushed those dirty thoughts away.

The brunette murmured something in her sleep before having a deep intake of breath, which made Granger relax and close his eyes, cuddling with Guinevere and eventually falling asleep.
