17 Years Later- Jaces P.O.V

I was walking through a garden, it was a beautiful sight. Flowers blossomed as spring arrived.

"I'm here, come find Me." a velvet voice whispered in my ear, I turned and saw no one.

"Come find me." the voice drifted off.

"No... Come back How am I supposed to find you?" I shouted

"Remember me, please... you have to remember." the silky voice replied. I turned in the direction the voice came. And my breath caught in my throat.

Her raven black hair lay gracefully upon her chest, its natural curl falling into perfect place. Her sun kissed skin looked warm and inviting. Her smile as bright as the stars. Her cheekbones were perfectly rosy. Her eyes are what captured my attention, they were the brightest lavender. I've never seen such mesmerizing eyes. Her lashes were long and thick. I've never seen such a beautiful person before... even vampires aren't THAT gorgeous.

She smiled a smile that made my heart melt. "Come find me Jay. I'm alive."

She laughed as she ran away into the garden. "Wait! How?" I yelled grabbing her arm. A burst of energy surged through me, my arm glowing bright purple. Her lips curved into a breath taking smile. "Princess?" I asked in disbelief.

"Remember me... Remember me Jay."

"Remember you?"

"Wake up Jace. Wake up."

"But I'm not sleeping." I insisted as I saw her fade away.

"Come find me.. I'm alive. Just wake up Jay." Her silky voice faded into the distance.

I was bolted awake then. "Princess?" I questioned.

"Right here babe." A voice said beside me, compared to my dream girls as Rayne and my father called her, this girl’s voice was not attractive. Julie.

"What are you still doing here?!" I hissed.

"Chill babe. I was leaving when you started freaking out saying remember you." She replied pulling away from me.

I had been having the same dream for 17 years... yes 17. I never got to see her clearly before. She was undeniable breathe taking.

"What is that?" Julie's voice cut into my thoughts, I looked at her, she was staring at something I followed my gaze, and saw my arm shining. I stared at it shocked. It couldn't be. Could it?

I jumped out of bed in a rush. Running past Julie and out the bedroom door. I raced down the hall and into the foyer, almost colliding with my father.

"Where's the fire?" Rayne's voice asked with a smirk. "Trying to get away from the flavour of the week?" she snapped.

"I need to speak to my father. Why are you back early?" I snapped back.

"Because I come bearing good news, but please by all means you first seeing as you're in such a rush. I don't think I have seen you move that fast in years."

"You saw your dream girl?" my father asked.

I shot a glare at her and turned to my father. "My arm. It glowed. Again. This morning! I had the same dream, but I saw her." I said. I knew he probably wouldn't believe me, but he had told me that if I ever felt my arm glow to tell him.

His eyes darted to my arm, which was once again dull. But it had the slightest glow to it still.. so low I don't know if he could tell. I felt it. Rayne's mouth twitched into a small smile, before quickly removing it.

"I don't know.. I mean, I don't see a change." My father said glancing at Rayne who was silent.

"I swear I saw it!" I yelled.

"I'm sure you just imagined it again." My father said with a wave of his hand.

"You feel bad for what happened. It's possible." He replied walking off with Rayne.

"We need to get going." Rayne said

"Going where?" Julie's voice came from the side.

"Oh, it's you. If you must know, we have a meeting with the King." Rayne replied.

"You found them?" My father asked speechless.

Rayne smiled. "It took a while, but yes, he invited us to stay at the Palace. There's a ball going on. Masquerade Ball to be exact. And he insisted we be there." She continued. "It is very important that you be present Jace." She finished giving Julie a look.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm not going." I replied.

"Oh yes, you are my dear son." My father replied.

I glare at him. "Julie. Would you like to come to the Ball with me?" I smirked when I saw my fathers and Rayne's eyes narrow.

"Really?! I'd love that!" Julie shrieked. Clinging to my arm and with our race, she was strong.

"I will not tolerate your everyday behaviours around the King. You owe him that much to be polite, and proper. You too Lulu." Rayne hissed.

"It's Julie." Julie snapped back.

"Either way. Act appropriate. We leave tonight. It'll be morning by the time we get there. I will go and let the King know we are coming so he can get the rooms sorted out, it's going to be a full Palace, this is a very important Ball. It can change history." Rayne continued as she approached the door. In a second she was racing at the speed of light.
