Zest’s P.O.V
The light burst from the newborn child. She was even more powerful than I’d thought, and at a newborn age. I knew she was going to be outrageously powerful when she’s full age.
I cursed at my men to kill the Queen. I couldn’t do anything as the woman ran off with the Princess into the protection of the Palace.
I gathered my men and we headed back our land I‘d return when I had word of what was going on. I stayed in case it was a trick and she was going to appear with the child again.
What felt like an eternity passed before I saw the woman leaving the Palace. She sped off into the night I quietly followed behind her not letting her know I was present. Hours later, they had arrived at King Christopher’s Palace he noticed the woman stopped at the King’s Regent. Andre.
“What news do you bring?” Andre asked upon arrival.
The woman smiled. “He has taken the Princess in as his own. There is a celebration for her birth in two days. We are to attend.” And with those words she walked into the Palace doors with Andre at her side.
I raced back to my coven. My men stood at attention upon arrival. I smirked. “Gentlemen, we have a celebration to attend in two days. It seems the Princess is going to be announced to the Kingdom. Be prepared to capture her.” The men let out a chorus of cheers.
Two days of preparation and we were all in our positions in the ballroom covering all the entrances. I noticed Andre, the woman and his son climbed down the stairs. The announcements were being set. I nodded to the men. They knew what to do. As soon as they called her name, we would attack.
“His Royal Highness Prince Jeremy.”
“His Royal Highness Prince Trent.”
“Their Royal Highnesses Prince Sebastian and Prince Jesse.”
“Their Royal Highnesses Prince Mark and Prince Matthew.”
“His Royal Highness Prince Elliot.”
“And his Majesty King Damien and his youngest children Prince Brandon and the new Princess of Atlantis.” the announcer spoke. King Damien met the eyes of the woman with Andre, nodding at each other. So they were warned. As the audience bowed, I nodded to my men, if they were going to do this the hard way then so be it.
“ATTACK! Get the Princess I want her now!” I yelled and in a flash everything went from peace and calm to a complete chaos.
