Chapter 17

~•Sakutaro•~

   Mayu's mom opened the door. Mayu let me go and looked at the ground. "I'll give you two a minute." She said before closing the door. I looked at Mayu, her face was bright red.

   "Sakutaro, my mom saw us." She said, still staring at the ground. "But I don't care." She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me again.

   "I don't want to leave you." She said, pulling her arms down. I kissed her head. "Same." She put her head against my arm. I put the other one around her waist.

   "I hope we see each other soon." I said, then pulled away. I turned and walked away. "Goodbye, Sakutaro!" Mayu called after me. I waved back. I felt so happy, but sad. Mayu liked me, but she was leaving.

~·Mayu·~

   I walked into my house, pressing myself against the door. "Mayu" My mom spoke from the kitchen. "I didn't think you would ever embrace anybody in front of my house." She said, walking to me. "And I was appalled when I saw it was him." My mom had never shown signs of disliking Sakutaro.

   "What's wrong with Sakutaro?" "He told you how he feels the day before you move." She said. "And...?" "Maybe of he'd really loved you, he would've told you how he feels earlier." My mom looked at me. "I don't want you to get hurt by a boy you might not see again."

  I started crying. "He would never hurt me; not on purpose." I ran to my room and locked the door behind me. I flopped on my bed and cried into a pillow. Shige-nii would never hurt me; right?
