Chapter 4

Mayu's P.O.V.

   I walked home alone, not wanting any of my friends to see me crying. Why does it have to be this way? Why do I have to leave Kisaragi? I sniffled. When'll I see Shige-nii again? "Mayu..." A voice said from behind me. "Shige-nii?" I asked into the darkness and wiped my eyes. "Don't forget about me at your new school." He said, stepping into a street light so I could see him.

   "How could I?" I started. "You are the main reson I'm so sad to go, I mean, yeah, there are the others but..." I paused, taking a deep breath. "I've grown so close to you, it's like we're inseperable." He smiled, walking into the darkness again. I felt something touch my shoulder, so I placed my hand on it. "It'll be okay, Mayu. I promise. I'll call you everyday so we keep in touch." Shig said, reassuring me.

   He grabbed my arm and ran into another light, a huge grin on his face. He hugged me, taking me by complete surprise and knocking me over. He was on top of me, on a sidewalk, in public, and I was blushing. "Shig..." I whimpered. He stood up, helping me to my feet. "I'm so sorry..."

   No, it's alright. I thought. "Well, it's about time we get going, you've got-" "Will you walk me home?" I asked, thinking none. Oh well, it was already out, no turning back now. "Okay." He said, sincerely. We walked down the sidewalk, talking about our favorite moments with each other, who'll miss the other more, and some random stuff. I am really going to miss you, Shige-nii. I thought while looking at him. I felt like when I move away from Morishige, I move away from a piece of me.

   "Mayu," Shig said, startling me a little. "Y-yeah?" I asked. "When will we see each other again? Calling you isn't going to be enough for me. I need to see you. You are the only one I am comfortable around." His words made me blush. "I don't know, but I'll make sure it's soon. We approached my front door and just as I was about to open the door, Shige-nii called me. "Mayu, this might be the last time we see each other, I want to make it something you'll remember forever."
