...forever." I leaned in and kissed Mayu's cheek. I rang her doorbell and ran off. Her mom opened the door, and Mayu was standing there, holding her cheek. "Mayu, come on, we leave tomorrow. You need to help us pack." Her mom walked back inside, and Mayu followed her, looking into the darkness first.
*Time Lapse*
I lied on my bed. I couldn't sleep; not after knowing that Mayu was going to be gone tomorrow. "*Sigh*" Why does Mayu have to leave? I'm going to be miserable without her. She-she-she is like the closest thing to a friend I've ever had. I wasn't even filtering my thoughts anymore. I just let them flow.
"Zt Zt" My phone vibrated. I wonder if it's Mayu, wanting clarifcation on what happened earlier. I picked up my phone and checked, my guess being correct.
"1 NEW MESSAGE
TIME: 9:16 p.m.
SENDER: Suzumoto Mayu
SUBJECT: ?????
MESSAGE: What happened back there? Why did you kiss me; and then run off? Am I missing something?"
I wanted to respond to her, but I don't even know why I kissed her. Something inside me just said I should; like my brain stopped thinking and my heart took its place. This had never happened before, I never felt that way towards someone else before. "Zt Zt."

TIME: 9:23 p.m.
SENDER: Suzumoto Mayu
SUBJECT: Shige-nii...
MESSAGE: It felt really weird when you kissed my cheek. Do you like me?"
