Chapter 35

Kageyamas POV.

I liked.....
Actually I loved that my mom and Hinata were getting along, it's just something about her sudden change in heart didn't feel right.

Hinata seemed a bit less tense than he was when he walked in but he still clearly wasn't his full self.

"So, what do you like so much about my son that you're making him be so disobedient"
The question clearly chocked Hinata up.

Hinata sat there shut, obviously trying to think of an answer that wouldn't come off a rude.

"Well um, Mrs. Kageyama, your son makes me extremely happy, and I really don't mean to intrude on your relationship with him."

"So if that's really how you feel why haven't you just agreed with my wishes and break up with him?"

I should have known it was to good to be true.

"I-I, I um. I just don't think that's what Kags, I mean Tobio wants ma'am."
Hinata frowns probably afraid his answer was rude.

"Well as his mother, I pretty much have a say in everything he does. And I'm still not quite fond of him being gay."

"Mom stop."
I interrupted.

"Tobio don't be rude."
My mom says.

Hinata also looks over at me eyes glossy as if he was about to cry.

"It's fine I got it"
Hinata mouths to me before turning back to my mom.

"Im sorry if this comes of as rude but, kageyama likes me, and I really like him. What's so bad about that? But if it really upsets you that much I can leave...."

My mom just stares at Hinata for a second before he stands up.

"Thank you for dinner it was delicious, but I think I should get going now. Bye Tobio!" He smiled weakly before bowing towards my mom waving good bye.

And just like that he was gone.

"Mom why would you do that"

"What?"

"You were being so nice to him, it was like waving a bone in front of a puppy then throwing it in the trash. I could tell he was excited because he probably thought you were finally starting to like him"

"I do like him Tobio, I just don't want you dating him."

"Mom why not, I'm happy shouldn't that be the only thing that matters?"

"I mean I guess"

"What do you mean 'you guess' there should be nothing else to it! If I'm happy you should be to!"

She looks at me not knowing what else to say.

"You know what Tobio. Maybe you're right"
