"Once upon a time there were two princes, who were in love, but one of them was engaged to a princess, so they had to keep their love a secret. In addition, Love between the same sex was strictly forbidden. The princes were called-"
"What the hell are you reading Hermione!" Shouted Ron, who was sitting next to Harry while making a forced expression.
"You don't need to yell at me..." Hermione mumbled with her nose still in the book.
"Seriously, what's so great about it? I mean, I have nothing against gays, but you are totally exaggerating.", Ron turned to Harry,
"Right Harry? It sucks that Hermione has to read something like this every day and out loud too!"
"I don't know what bothers you about it, I like when Hermione reads something to us." Harry whispered with his gaze still on the ceiling.
"Hey Harry. Are you okay?", asked Ron. Much more gentle than a few seconds ago. Harry heard him and was ripped out of his train of thoughts.
"Yes," he replied softly, "everything's okay." He looked at Ron and smiled narrowly.
"But don't you just want to make peace with the Slytherins sometimes?" Harry asked, lost in thought again.
"What?" "I beg your pardon?", Ron and Hermione called simultaneously.
"You're not serious, right?", Ron looked at Harry in disbelief.
"Harry, you know what Malfoy got you on Valentine's Day! A rose!!! Just what is he thinking!?"
"that rose..." Hermione mused aloud,
"Harry, you still haven't told us what was in the letter that was attached to the rose... "
" It doesn't matter. That was just a stupid saying anyway, wasn't it Harry?" Said Ron and turned back to Harry, but Harry wasn't listening to the two anymore, his thoughts went to a certain blond boy.
"HARRY!", The addressed person jumped in shock and almost fell from the red sofa that stood in the Gryffindor common room.
"Ron! Don't yell!", Hermione rolled her eyes and apologized briefly to the people sitting further away by the fireplace, who had startled from the noise.
"Harry..." Hermione looked at Harry seriously, "... I just want to tell you that you have to be careful. Do you understand what I mean? Don't sink too deep... maybe... ", she came closer and whispered so softly that only Harry could hear her, "...maybe he's just playing around with your feelings..."
Harry said nothing and just stared in disinterest. Ron, who hadn't heard the whispered part, said: "Yes Harry, be careful not to get too gay!" He laughed briefly, "and if you do, not with Malfoy! On Valentine's Day that Pansy Parkinson walked around with a rose too... It was definitely from Malfoy!" Ron was supposedly very proud to have noticed this and looked expectantly around the group.
But seemingly nobody reacted. Harry was still staring at the wall and Hermione was silent while she blushed. Harry suddenly looked up and you could clearly see the anger on his face.
"What's so bad about being gay!?" he shouted as he stood up.
"I'm going to sleep," he uttered and went towards the boys wing.
"What's wrong with him?", asked Ron, looking after Harry.
"Oh Ron, sometimes you really are clueless," Hermione said, then went to her room as well.
"What did I do now?" Ron called after Hermione, but she was already gone as well as her book.
