A vibrant sunrise greeted Fell and Alana as they stepped out of the taxi, packs hanging from their shoulders heedlessly. Leaves crunched underneath their footfalls, leading a subtle trail of foliage towards the entrance of the hotel. The air was delightful, and lovely as a mild breeze lingered, spreading the crisp yet pleasant smell of the fall season all over the city. Small streaks of saturated yellows and pale oranges barely lined the thick clouds above them as the sun began to rise.
Fell enjoyed this pure, calm feeling, that served as a small distraction. However, that train of thought was all interrupted by a tumultuous uproar of laughter and cheers as the pair entered the hotel, heat brushing past them as they headed towards the lobby.
His eyes trailed to a large group of people, which probably was where all that excited and noisy chatter came from. The group had various familiar faces, smiles and grins playing upon all of their lips.
Fell sighs, the anxiety coursing through his veins. Lanie however, made a beeline straight to them. Fell was forced to walk over as well, as Lanie was his only source of comfort and he did not want to lose her.
"Ayyyy! Big F, Big A! You two are late. You're the ones who invited us here, aren't you? Aren't you supposed to be here first?" Aria interrogates both Lanie and Fell.
"Well uh... traffic is horrendous and I had to pick up Fell from the airport." Lanie says while fixing her trenchcoat, glasses clipped onto her shirt's collar neatly. Fell nods and shyly looks down with a red face.
"That's what I said!" Alamo yells, triumphantly grinning and turning around to face the group of individuals. Aria groans and hands Alamo three dollars. The whole group bursts out laughing upon seeing this and a couple also hand Alamo three dollars.
Rem hugs Fell and Lanie once she calms down and tugs on Fell's sleeve. Fell tilts his head to the side and smiles sweetly. Rem was always a nice person to be with, yet quite confusing at times.
"Fell, Lanie. I'm happy to see you but I really want to lay down somewhere. Go get the fuckin room keys already." A slightly angry yet joking voice rang out. Arson's to be more specific. Sounds of agreement came from the other individuals, which in turn made Lanie head to reception to retrieve said keys.
This is gonna be quite the rollercoaster.
