Aquiver (a.) Quivering, trembling.

Fell's eyes were wide, filled with horror and were tempestuous. He felt Degg's pulse every few seconds and each time, he felt nothing. The eyes of everyone he invited here were on him, waiting for him to say something, anything.

Head stuttering, Fell peeked over his shoulder, wild eyes meeting everyone else's faces of concern and fear.

"Degg's dead, aren't they?" Quinn asks with a relatively calm voice.

Fell nods and everyone gasps. Who could've done this? That single thought ran through everyone's minds.

"Fell, come on, we have to call the authorities. Let go of Degg."

Fell stared in disbelief,  however nodding lightly in agreement.

"We were late. Degg was dead hours ago." Lem said, pinching the bridge of her nose.

People exchanged looks and words with each other, before someone took notice of a slightly wet paper a few inches away from the place that was formerly Degg's corpse.

"Uhm. guys. Kindly come over here. I think I've found something vital--?" Megan called out, fixing the collar of her shirt, turning to look at the quietly conversing group of people.

"Do not let the authorities be involved in this." She read aloud, in a rueful, confused manner.

October 4, 1927, 11:49 AM

The smell of petrichor wove through the building, where rain was just present outside minutes ago. People were either walking around the aisles and hallways, or were eating in the buffet.

Fell was among the people walking around the building. He ambled off to the buffet room, where everyone was seated, dining on lunch. The scene of yesterday was still fresh in his mind but seeing his friends made him feel a little better.

He sits down in the middle of Rem and Lanie, Lanie to his left and Rem to his right. They were going to stay together and keep track of each other in fear of something going horribly wrong again. This had been Lemon's idea.

"Who's going to be with who?" Cali's voice makes its way into Fell's ears.

Apparently Fell got there at the right time to hear what he needed to. It appears everyone was either talking about the main problem, or simply talking about trivial things. Fell didn't mind this however, he was used to ignoring other conversations and listening to what he needed to.

"Up to you but I suggest being with people you trust with your life. A group of at least three too." Lemon responds with a matter-of-fact tone.

"Does this mean we have to take shifts sleeping now too?" Xo asks.

"That would make sense, no? We have to make sure nothing weird is happening. Even during the night." Fell simply says as he messes with the fork in his hands.

Fell looks up at Xo with a raised brow. Why did they ask such an obvious question? Maybe Fell was thinking about this too much. Or maybe not...

Fell's thought process is diminished by Star's loud voice.

"Alamo, blaze flavor or ender flavor?" Star asks while turning to Alamo, holding two plastic bottles filled with colorful liquids.

The table is consumed in laughter and the fear of dying completely melts away. The friends try to regain themselves but Star's confused face only makes their laughter bubble out more.

"Star that's not even what we're talking about." Gogy says in between laughter.

Star waves off Gogy's comment and simply asks again, this time though she asks everyone.

"Blaze, or ender flavor?"

This simple question throws everyone in another laughing fit. The group continues to laugh, echoing through the room's doors tumultuously, forgetting about the empty chair which Degg sat in for the whole afternoon. They all part ways, promising to meet up at dinnertime to give a report of what happened.

They didn't think something bad would happen again.
