Gert arrived later that day at Chase's house. She knocked on the door and there he was. She looked at him and didn't say anything. She was nervous. "Uhm, hi. Come on in." He said. She slowly walked in the house. Chase wanted to reach her hand but she pulled away. She knew that if she let him hold her hand, everyone would think she hooked up with him. Even though no one was there, she felt like they were being watched. Gert said: "So, are we going to your room or..." Chase looked at her. "If you want, we can just go to the kitchen. My parents aren't home so we can go anywhere we want." Gert looked at the stairs. She wanted to go to his room because she was wondering what it would look like. "Then we'll go to the kitchen I guess." They both went to the kitchen and took their schoolbooks.
For a few minutes it was very quiet and awkward. "So...what are you doing tomorrow?" Chase asked. Was Chase trying to get on a date with Gert? Or is he trying to make out with her? One thing is sure: you can't trust him. He's obviously a player. Who knows he will hurt Gert? "Nothing much, I promised Molly that I would help her with her homework." Gert said. Chase looked sad. He wanted to do something fun with her. Gert's phone went off. "That's my mom, sorry I have to answer."
Gert rushed off to home. She lost track of time and forgot that she promised her mom to help her with dinner. Stacey, Gert's mom, is very sweet though. She's fascinated in science. She's the co-leader of Synnergy so she is really busy. "Where have you been, Gert?" She said. Molly came down the stairs. "Gert was studying with that hot guy from school. Chase, isn't it?" answered Molly. Stacey looked at Gert. She said: "Chase? Oh poor Gert! Didn't you tell the teacher that you don't want to hang out with that player. He is bad influence." Gert sighed. Gert was secretly in love with Chase and after tonight she really wanted to hang out with him again. Too bad that her parents and her friends hate him. It would break Aria's heart, though. What kind of friend would she be if she dates Aria's ex-boyfriend who cheated on her? And who says that Chase won't hurt her? Anyways, Gert liked Chase, she only had to find out if Chase liked her. But also what was she going to do with her parents? So many problems just for one guy. And she doesn't even know if he's in love with her.
