The next day, Gert went to class. Chase was sitting with his friends and Gert's friends were sitting in front. She nodded at Chase but she immediately sat down next to Emily. "Wait, so you just nodded to Chase. Does that mean that even though you guys aren't dating that you still talk to each other?" Aria asked. "Yes, we've talked and we wanted to be friends. Is that so weird?" Gert said. Emily answered: "Yes, that's super weird. People are saying that you and Chase are dating but you say you're not but you still talk to each other. I am very confused right now!" Gert chuckled awkwardly. She couldn't lie to them. They're her friends, they told her they'd be happy if she dated Chase. "Okay, listen. I might've lied to you guys. Chase and I are secretly dating. But we didn't want the school to know because we are not sure yet. We're going on a date tonight and then we'll decide." She said. Emily and Aria looked happy! "You're going on a date? Like an actual date? With the hottest guy in school?" Emily asked. "I hope you don't mind, Aria. I just really like him and I think he likes me too. I hope you are okay with it." Gert said. Aria smiled. "I knew that our relationship wasn't going to be forever. If you and Chase are happy together, I am happy for you guys."
"Gert! Gert! Is it true? Are you dating Chase?" Molly asked. How did Molly know about that? Maybe Emily and Aria told her? "How do you know?" Gert asked. Molly took Gert's hand and went to the hallway. The whole hallway was covered with that one picture. Apparently, someone took a picture of Gert and Chase kissing! Chase was standing on the other side of the hallway. "Gert, do you know anything about this?" he asked. Gert looked at him with a concerned face. "No, I- I don't know what happened. How did anyone know about us? Why would anyone do something like that?" Chase looked at the hallway. He grabbed Gert's hand and immediately walked into an empty classroom with her. He hugged her and she started crying over his shoulder. "It's okay, I know that you didn't want the whole school to know. Relax." Chase said. "You know what? What if you and I go out for dinner tonight and after that, you can sleep at my place!" Chase suggested. Gert agreed.
Later that day, Gert was getting dressed for her date with Chase. Nice earrings, nice black dress, some hair spray. The doorbell ringed. She rushed downstairs. "I'm staying at Chase's place for tonight, see you tomorrow, mom!" she said.
At the restaurant, Gert and Chase were talking about lots of stuff. They were so into each other! Chase reached his hand out to Gert's hand. They were holding hands. They both smiled.
Chase and Gert came into his room. Gert looked around in his room. "I remember this... It's exactly how it was when I came here for the very first time. You know, when we met each other because our parents had a meeting?" She said. Chase chuckled. "And even then I knew I already liked you."
Chase stepped closer to Gert and put his hand on her shoulder. "You are so unique, I wish I really got to speak to you much earlier." he said. They both smiled. Gert brought her face closer to his face and they started kissing...and more.
