Kellin had backed me into the corner, there I was back against the glass door. Kellin stood, there was only inches between us. I held my breath, glaring at him.
"Get off me" I hissed, narrowing my eyes at him. I mustered up everything I had to be threatening, he just laughed, leaning so his breath hit my neck. I chewed my lip, turning my face to the side.
His lips brushed my neck, small soft kisses trailed to my jaw. It was his lips on me but all I could think of was how Oli's lips felt, I closed my eyes, hoping maybe he would just do this to freak me out.
"Kiss me Elise, come on" he whispered, his hands rested on my hips. I shook my head, pressing myself tightly against the cold glass door. I opened my eyes, looking at him. He had the same look, serious, but his eyes weren't the same addicting gold as Oli.
He leant forward, his lips just brushing mine. This was it, he was going to take my first kiss.
There was a commotion outside the door, shortly before it swung open. Jordan was the first in, he yanked Kellin off me. I shrunk, facing away from them, I felt exposed.
"Jordan no!" Matt yelled, I looked over, Matt pried Jordan off Kellin before he could punch the boy. Mike stood in the doorway, Vic looking at the ground clearly in shame. Oli stood next to Matt, but his eyes were on me, I looked at the ground. Jordan fought to get out of Matt's arms, Matt trying to get him to calm down.
"No! How dare you fucking touch her like that! Thinking you could put your lips on her!" He yelled, managing to grab a fistful of Kellins shirt. Matt dragged Jordan into the hallway, and Kellin was dragged along.
I slid down the shower stall door, sitting on the floor. I looked up as Oliver came over, sitting himself next to me. He gave me a small smile of reassurance, but you could see the worry in his eyes. I gave him a smile back, I didn't speak but it was enough for him to relax.
"I think Jordan was going to kill the Bugger" he said, I hugged my knees to my chest. I wish he would, I wish I could just punch him right in the nose for that. Oli sat with me, not speaking, we just sat in silence for a moment longer.
"Need a smoke?" He asked, I nodded, letting out an airy sigh. He stood, helping me to my feet, his hand lingering in mine.
"Come on Bunty" he mumbled, his hand dropping from mine. I followed close behind as we left the bathroom, Matt had Jordan sat down, calming him down. Mike had both Kellin and Vic held by the back of their necks, yelling something about embarrassing him.
Kellins eyes caught mine, a glare of sorts. I huffed, turning as Oli had led the way back to Matt's balcony. I leant against the railing, watching Oli pull two more cigarettes from his pack.
"Why is he even here" I grumbled, taking one from him. He lit the thing for me, before lighting his own.
"You didn't know that Vic is Mike's brother?" He asked, taking a lengthy puff. I groaned, taking a puff from my own.
"Mike mentioned his brother Vic, and Kellin showing up tonight, Jordan suddenly freaking out on the fact none of the three of you were to be seen" he elaborated, looking at me. I turned my lip in disgust, shaking my head.
"Jordan explained the little thing that Wank has for you, and we immediately started searching" he finished, examining his cigarette in his hand. I took another puff, Jordan knocked on the frame of the balcony door.
I gave him a small thankful smile, Jordan walked over, engulfing me in a hug. I dropped my cigarette, wrapping my arms around his thin torso to hug him back.
"I'm still upset that Matt wouldn't let me pummel that shitface" he mumbled into my hair, I smiled, laughing at his clear annoyance. We pulled away, Jordan grabbing my face to examine it.
"I'm okay you dummy, go back to heartbreaking, I'm just gonna chill up here" I said, swatting his hands away. He looked to Oli, and with a reluctant look, made his way back inside. Oli plucked the cigarette from between his lips, handing it to me.
I gently took it, resting it between my lips as I pushed myself up to sit on the balcony railing.
"How did you know I'd never kissed anyone?" I asked suddenly, my mind going back to what he had whispered to me. He smiled a bit as he dug in his pocket for his pack, a small laugh as he did. I felt my face go red, pressing my lips together unimpressed.
"Don't laugh!" I said, leaning over to swat at him. He laughed, catching my hand. His large hand practically engulfed mine, I could catch faded designs of hand tattoos.
"Matt told me" he smirked, I could feel my face grow even redder. Of course he did, is have to give him a serious talk about that later on.
"Don't be embarrassed, I think it's cute" Oliver commented, I found myself at a loss of words, just thinking of the fact Oliver thought I was cute. I chewed at my lip, trying to suppress the growing smile. The night carried on much the same, the odd drunk occasionally stumbling onto the deck, a slurred welcome and then they were gone again.
"Don't you have to get home? I mean you're still in high school" Oli asked, glancing down at his phone to check the time. I shook my head, laughing a bit.
"No, I told my parents Lee's mom invited Jordan and me to sleep there and watch movies" I explained, catching Oliver and his confused look.
"Lee, Jordan, and I have been doing sleepovers since like pre-K, so our parents are fine with us staying the nights as a group. I know it's weird, but I don't question it." I added, smiling a bit. I recalled the years of sleepovers, summers where we ran around in the yard at dusk catching fireflies as kids. Movie nights where we all dozed off in the living room with handfuls of popcorn and crashing sugar highs.
"I gotta say, you are lucky to have such good mates, that Jordan especially," Oli remarked, a small smile found it's way onto my face, I was lucky to have him, there truly wasn't anyone else id rather for a friend. Oliver and I had been interrupted by Jordan and Lee, smiling as they had found me.
"ready to go? We still gotta be at school tomorrow" Lee reminded me, nodding his head. I sighed and looked at Oliver, he smiled and gave me a small hug.
"I'll see you around Bunty!" he called after me, I turned once more to wave, following Jordan and Lee out. After a small argument, over who was most sober to drive, I chimed in.
"I didn't drink at all, give me the keys you dummy" I snatched the keys and hopped in, grumbling about how far back the seat was. As we drove Jordan filled Lee in on the Kellin drama he had missed, I listened while keeping my eyes on the road, recalling the moment just hours earlier.
"What a dick, always pulling shit" Lee commented in a huff, we pulled into Lee's driveway and all got out, his parents were probably already asleep so we slipped inside as quietly as possible. With a wave goodnight, Lee went off to his room, Jordan and I taking sides on the large L shaped sectional couch.
"who would you give your first kiss to?" Jordan whispered as we laid in the dark, I chewed my lip, knowing quite well who is wanted to kiss me last night.
"I don't know" I lied, it made me think of Oliver's hug or the way his eyes lit something in me. I drifted thinking of that, I wanted a kiss from Oliver Sykes.
