Well after they broke up Amanda was sad for a little. Amanda decided to distract herself with mike. She kept getting closer to him but anytime Amanda talked to Alice about him she would always say, "If you date him or are like friends with him, our friendship will go down." So Amanda would get close but keep their friendship at a good distance. Well for a few months this is what her life was. Sometimes she didn't even like anyone. But then Alice, mike, and Amanda were in a group conversation. Mike had been REALLY nice. So Amanda went into "Sherlock Holmes" mode. She decided in about a second that either mike was trying to pick one of them up or Alice and him were dating. Well she had thought about mike and Amanda's past conversations. She remembered that mike didn't like her. So she came to the conclusion that mike and Alice were dating. The next day, sure enough Alice texts her and asks her to come over because she has to talk to her. Well they were walking and Alice was smiling but stuttered, "Okay. I...I like don't know...I don't know how to say this but-" Amanda cut her off. She commented with a smirk, "You an mike are dating aren't you?" Alice had a look of relief and said yes. Well Amanda said she already knew and Alice was all over her about how she knew. Amanda never told. So they hung out for the rest of the day but Amanda was feeling two main emotions. Happiness and grief. She was happy because Alice was. All Amanda wants is for Alice to be happy. But she also felt grief because deep within her heart, she knew that she liked mike. Now that mike and Alice got back together she would never have a chance with him. She had a slim chance after they broke up once but if they break up again she has zero chance with him. What would she do? She didn't like anyone else. She was so confused but when she was with Alice all of it melted away. Who would she date now? Would she just be alone? She hoped not. But the more Alice and people around her talked about him, the more depressed she became. Even though she was depressed, she put on a facade of happiness. She did it for Alice's sake. She cared for her and didn't need her to be sad. But, before Alice and mike started dating, Amanda had him make a promise, she said, "Now if you two date again, you have to be good to her. You MUST make her happy. If you don't i will never forgive you." He just replied and said, "Okay. I will.
