I walk around the compound. I have been exploring it lately. I can't deal with Tobias moping around. He found out that he is not Divergent. And here it is known as 'Broken'. And my brother is far from broken.
Peter is walking with me. We are on the far side of the compound. It is really pretty over here. An alarm goes off.
"What's going on?" I ask. Peter shrugs.
"Most likely not good," he states. He grabs my hand and starts pulling me off. A loud explosion goes off and I go flying. I land on the ground with a loud thud.
Ringing fills my ears. My leg hurts. Peter runs over. I can't hear him, but I know he's calling my name. My head is killing me. The world goes black.

"Let me see her," someone shouts.
"You're the one that put her endanger," another voice shouts back. "You're lucky you're her only family Tobias, or you would be in the hospital bed yourself."
I place my hand on my head. It hurts. I wake up. Bright lights are in my face. I try to sit up, but slump back down.
"Victoria," Peter exclaims. "How are you?"
"As best as I can be," I joke. I notice Tobias. "Hey."
"I'm sorry," he practically whispers. "I didn't know they would set off a bomb. Or I would have never disabled the bomb."
"It's not like I got any serious injuries," I point out. I notice how they stay quite. "Right?"
"A piece of the building messed up your leg," Peter informs me. "If they don't find a cure, you won't be able to walk again."
"I got it," someone shouts. Caleb comes running over. A tiny vial is in his hand. He hands it to me. It is clear. Exactly the same one that I received the day before the Choosing Ceremony.
"This is to drink though," Caleb states, as if he was reading my mind. I chug it down.
"What was that?" Tobias asks.
"Healing serum," Caleb states.
"But they tried that."
"This is my own. And it will take longer than usual," Caleb adds. He walks off.
"What does he mean 'usual'?" Peter asks.
"Remember how I said one knew about our father?" I ask Tobias. He nods his head. "He was the one that figured it out. And then helped me with how he can."
"Well then," Tobias states. I nod my head.
"Maybe you should rest," Peter whispers. I nod my head. Tobias goes off, but Peter stays beside me.
"Need anything?" I ask. He slides his hand under my head and lands down to kiss me. I wrap my arms around his neck. I kiss him back. It feels like there is no one here except Peter and me.
We finally pull away. He smiles and walks off. I touch me lips. That was amazing. He kissed me. I lay there staring at the ceiling. What would it be like if I couldn't walk? Would Peter still love me? Most likely.
"I sound like a teenage girl alright," I mumble out loud. I look around. I don't see anyone else here. That's good news. Then I see through this glass, Uriah unconscious and hooked up to tons of wires. Christina is with him. From here I can tell she's been crying. A nurse walks by.
"Excuse me," I say.
"Are you okay?" She asks. I nod my head.
"Is he alright?"
"He is on the edge of life," she informs me. I gasp at that. "Is he your friend?"
I manage to nod my head again.
"I'm sorry," she whispers and walks off. Uriah is dying and I can't help him. But maybe Caleb can.
