"Why not?" I ask Caleb again.
"For the hundredth time," Caleb replies. "His injuries are too severe."
"And you gave me the ability to walk again," I point out.
"He would never be the same," Caleb calmly informs me. "That is if it works. I couldn't risk it."
"How would it change him?"
"He would loose the ability to speak properly," he lists. "Loose his short term memory, randomly get giant pains in his temple. Oh, he..."
"I get it," I snap. I turn around and storm off. What can I do for Uriah now?
"Hey." I turn to see Zoe.
"Hi," I reply. I turn and start walking again. She runs up to me.
"I'm sorry if I seem rude," I state, "but I would like stone time alone."
"I just wanted to show you your ancestors," she says. I look at her confused. She sighs and pull me to a run. All four walls are bronze with scribbles on it.
I get closer to see they're names. I see mine with a dot and the letters 'A' and 'D' by it. I follow the line to my parents. My father's name has a door by it too.
"The dots represent Divergent," Zoe explains to me. "And the letters are factions."
I nod my head to show I understand. I find Tris' name. A good amount of her family was Divergents. I find Christina's family tree. There is no Divergents.
I stop at Uriah's, he is the only Divergent. And I finally come to Peter's. Like Christina, there is not a single Divergent there. I look around my generation. There are a lot of Divergents just in mine. A guy that looks like Tori walks in.
"Hey Zoe," he waves.
"Hey George," she replies.
"You're Tori's brother," I state. "I thought you were dead."
"I know everyone thought I was dead," he informs me. "That was the point. But now I never get the chance to speak to Tori again."
"I'm sorry," I state.
"I hope your friend gets better."
"Thanks." I excuse myself and walk down the hallway. I head into the room section. Peter is on his bed with maps everywhere. There are four red dots inside a circle. And one dot out of the circle.
"What is this?" I ask sitting on mine.
"The circle is the wall and the red dots are main building for factions," Allegiant he states. I nod my head and look at it. The main buildings form a pentagon. That's cool. Is that planned that way?
I must be over thinking things again. Peter puts everything in a box and slide it under his bed. He comes over and sits behind me. He wraps his arms around my waist and kisses my cheeks.
"I love you Victoria," he whispers I my ear.
"I love you too Peter," I reply. He gently kisses me again. He gets up and bends over. He lifts my chin and kiss me softly on my lips. I wrap my arms around his neck. Someone clears their throat. We pull away and look to see it's Tobias.
"Um... hey," I say. Peter sits on his bed.
"Really?" Tobias asks.
"You kiss Tris all the time," I point out. Tobias rolls his eyes and lay on his bed.
"Are we..."
"He'll just have to deal with it," I say. Peter kisses my cheek lightly.
"I love you," he repeats. "Even the strongest memory serum won't keep me from loving you."
"Aww," I reply. "And I love you till my last breath."
He lightly kisses me again and lay on his bed. We stare at each other. Like we're afraid that we'll lose the other one. I eventually fall asleep.
