The Lost Time (Butchercup story)

They are older: 16-17
Momoko - Blossom
Miyako - Bubbles
Kaoru - Buttercup

"Are you sure?" Momoko asked. She was double checking everything once again. Kaoru was surprised that Momoko parents said yes so easily. Every time Kaoru tried to bring up this topic to her parents, it would get shut down immediately. She eventually gave up as nothing can change her parent's mind.

The girls were going to leave Tokyo City to go to another country for a couple months. They heard about the Powerpuff Girls Z and their amazing job about protecting their city. They called them over to defeat some villains who were out terrorizing the people.

Of course the girls knew which villains was which. They didn't think they would cause trouble in another country. They actually didn't think that the villains had the balls to do it. Each girls tried to convince their parents. After days of convincing every one of their parents said yes. Expect Kaoru. There hasn't been much trouble in Townsville but Kaoru didn't mind to stay at the base.

"Yeah I'm sure." She finally responded. 'This town needs me.' She thought. "Oh Kaoru! I will miss you!" Miyako said as she clung into onto Kaoru. She could already feel her tears as she awkwardly pat Miyako head. She wasn't really good dealing with people who cried.

Kaoru pushed Miyako face away "Jeez it's not that bad. I'm not dying or anything." She jokingly said. Yet, deep in her heart, her mood soured at the thought of spending months away from her best friends.

Miyako frowned. "Okay maybe you're right. You're not dying but it's still bad! I won't see you in a couple of months!" She yelled as she went back to hugging Kaoru.

"I am going to miss you, too." Kaoru let out in a soft whisper as she hugged Miyako back. Momoko then joined the hug. "We are going to miss you the most. Now don't forget to call us!" She said as she pulled away from the hug. The girls all smiled at each other before they pulled away from Kaoru.

The professor then came to Kaoru and hugged her a goodbye as well. To everyone the Professor was like a second dad to them. Always helping them out with homework, cooking for them and doing their hair. He then helped Momoko and Miyako with their bags as he followed them to the plane.

Ken waved at Kaoru as she softly waved back at him. Even Poochi waved at her. The three already had their moments a few days ago. Spending as much time together. Ken was like a little brother to her and well Poochi was like a dog she always wanted.

"Hey, Buttercup take care of yourself." Kaoru turned around and was met with Brick. He was the 'leader' of the Rowdyruff boys. His brothers on the side working with him, Butch and Boomer. After the girls defeated HIM they had nowhere to go. So the professor gladly took them in.

"You got it." She said as they fist bump each other. He then went to go grabbed his stuff. She turned around and was face to face with Boomer. "Don't have much fun without us!" He grinned at her. "I won't." Kaoru responded as the two high five each other.

"I am going to miss you, a lot." She turned around and was met with Butch. She gave him a weak smile. "Same." Kaoru then went for their handshake. Out of the brothers, Kaoru had a real connection with Butch.

It felt different. He then quickly took Kaoru cap and put it on his head. "Hey-!" Kaoru didn't get to finished her yelling as Butch threw something shiny at her. She caught it before looking at it. It was his good luck charm bracelet.
