There is something beautiful about all scars of whatever nature. A scar means the hurt is over, the wound is closed and healed, done with.

───────────────────Mom moved out three days later. The declarer of the divorce.
I developed an anxiety disorder the following day. Meds were heavily recommended just in case it escalated to the same situation/episode on my birthday.
I stayed with my Dad not only for him to cope but because of the new routine that had been inflicted on me. Weekends with Dad and weekdays at my mom's new place. She now lives in a luxurious apartment in downtown Seattle. Away from the suburban neighborhood. Away from me.
I felt so furious yet so broken because I didn't want my parents to be torn apart. My dad didn't cheat on my mom thank god, but it was best to get help... to mend this relationship. Obviously, they both wouldn't listen to an emotional teenager.
My grandma kept raising my hopes that it wasn't my fault. "People tend to grow apart with love. You can't control that." Grandma patted my shoulder.
I tend to be strong and oblivious of what's going on, but as soon as I step onto Jasmine's doormat, I break into a million pieces like a glass window. The heavy emotions in my heart let me crash into the deep water of depression.
"Cry it out, rant, whatever. That's how you heal and live." Jasmine stated while rubbing my back in circles.
My dad couldn't look me in the eye confidently after the sudden news. He felt so heartbroken by my reaction and how it affected me for the past week now.
Lately, every night on the weekends, my dad and I would discuss our feelings. Every night on the weekdays, my mom would treat my mini anxiety attacks.
All while heading to school with a smile on my face... mentally dying inside.
I laid my head on top of my arms while gazing out the window next to me. The birds flew around the oak trees chirping loudly. Embracing their freedom. The birds would fly around the sky not looking back.
Something I desired to do.
The school bell rang loudly ending the fifth period. Grabbing my backpack and books, I headed towards my locker to fetch my books for the sixth period.
"Perfect princess is a mess right now," Sandy whispered loudly.
"She's so sulky for the past three weeks now." Gabby, Sandy's other friend, whispered.
"Her parents are getting a divorce," Alissa smirked. "Heard it from my mom last night."
Sandy gasped dramatically. "Not the perfect family being fake! I pity her..." Sandy chuckled.
